Boozer has come alive in the 3rd. Every board is his. He has quiet spells then explodes with rebounds and hustle points from everywhere.

    72 - 67 to the Cavs after 3.

    Finish it off fellas.

    72/67 Cavs through 3.

Cavs now have 4 guys in double figures and Boozer has his usual double-double.

Alright J-Mac. Finally gets a three to fall and ends the quarter

    Cavs 72-67 after 3

Boozer solid game with 14 and 12
LeBron has 10 and 4 with a good 3rd quarter
McInnis just gets em when they count doesn't he? 11 and 6 for him

After slow starts, James and McInnis have fired up and stretched our lead to 9 with 10 minutes to play!

    Contributions everywhere, I like it!

Starbury quickly cuts lead to 5.

We need a score to stop this little run. McInnis again? Or give it to the bigs?

I love that in situations like that LeBron is no longer go to. He's still too young. J- Mac is clutch.

We are rolling to a 4-0 sweep of the Knicks. Always brings a smile to the face.

Battie big off the bench, and McInnis cant miss a 3-ball.

    Up 8 couple to go.

    100-90!!!!!!

Good game, and great finish to the season!

The whole team played solid ball, not just the usual suspects.

    RECAP

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">NEW YORK (AP) -- LeBron James finished his rookie season on a winning note, scoring 17 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the New York Knicks 100-90 Wednesday night.

It was a quality season-ending win for the Cavs, given that the Knicks used their starters throughout the fourth quarter, but were outplayed by a lottery-bound team that had lost 12 of its previous 15 games.

James scored Cleveland's final two points on a crowd-pleasing breakaway dunk with 30 seconds left, then exchanged hugs with players from both teams after the final buzzer.

James will move on to his first summer vacation as an NBA veteran, while the Knicks will head into a first-round playoff series against the New Jersey Nets beginning Saturday.

Battie would be there for two games, sit out the next couple with knee tendinitis, Z is more reliable injury wise which is scary. Battie, while being a solid defender, generally poses no threat offensively. He can stick an open jumper, but doesn't draw in double and triple teams as Z does. Battie is good off the bench, but I wouldn't want to rely on him as a starter.

    ARTICLE
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Win over Knicks caps Cavs' season

By Brian Windhorst, Beacon Journal staff writer

NEW YORK - After answering the question the same way about a hundred times, Cavaliers coach Paul Silas made his last response on the issue just a bit different.

"How did LeBron do this season? He was bad, man," Silas said. "He didn't come with it. He's probably up for trade bait."

    Blame the sarcasm on grittiness.

No, the Cavaliers didn't make the playoffs. After Wednesday's 100-90 victory over the New York Knicks, they finished a game behind the Boston Celtics for the final playoff berth. But yes, they headed toward the plane home with smiles after winning three in a row to cap the season.

The win completed a 35-47 season, 18 more victories than a year ago and truckloads of more hope heading into the off-season.
