I must mourn only in the Sixers forum...

Great game for LeBron. I think people got the impression the Cavaliers wouldnt have that much scoring priorities with Ricky gone, and LeBron filled the big gap. He puts up 30+ every game and the Cavs record will be switched around.

(Sadly to me,) nice win Cleveland.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">LeBron James ended Cleveland's 34-game road losing streak with his best shooting performance yet.

James made five 3-pointers and scored 36 points, leading the Cavaliers to an 88-81 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night for Cleveland's first away win since Jan. 12 at Seattle.

Cleveland's road losing streak tied for the second-longest in NBA history behind Sacramento's 43-game streak in the 1990-91 and 1991-92 seasons. New Jersey also had a 34-game streak in the 1989-90 and 1990-91 campaigns.

James finished 14-of-24, including 5-of-7 from 3-point range. He made all three of his free throws and had four rebounds and five assists. James, who turns 19 on Dec. 30, fell one point short of his career-best 37 points against Boston last Saturday.

The Sixers, again playing without Allen Iverson, have lost three of four. Iverson, averaging 28.9 points, has missed four of the last five games with a swollen right knee, an injury that could keep him sidelined even longer.

Glenn Robinson had 18 points and Derrick Coleman added 15 for Philadelphia (13-13), which entered the night in first place in the Atlantic Division.

Eric Williams added 13 points and Carlos Boozer had 12 for Cleveland, which had lost 12 of 14. Former Sixer Kevin Ollie had a career-best 12 assists.

Well done to Lebron, he stepped up and gave the Cavs an important road win. But he wasn't the only Cav to play well, Ollie had a very good game. Philly missed AI, but the Cavs deserved to win.

Bron's scoring is now at 18.7 after this game.

Melo's is at 18.5 going into tonight.

Throws out that scoring argument eh?

I did not mean it like that, it's just that people still talk about Melo's scoring as an advantage. You guys know where I stand, co-rookies to me.

However, this last week+, LeBron has seperated himself from the pack scoring 28 a night over his last 5 games.

    Time will tell.

    *edit*

James had 4 steals in this game too, amazing.

Cleveland could be a smoky for the playoffs when playing like this, especially when Williams, Battie and Brown settle into the team. LeBron will rival MJ as the greatest player of all time when his career is over, assuming there are no serious injuries etc. Big call I know, but he is a born leader, and will only get better as the kid is only 18! I am dumbfounded by how good he really is, and I believed a lot of the hype before he came into the league...

Mad props to Kevin Ollie. I hated to lose him in Seattle; may be a bit overpaid, but if anyone deserves the cecurity of a longterm deal it's this guy, he is as solid as they come, and oozes heart and toughness.

Hmm 4 steals? Should A.I. start to get worried for the most steals
Anyway on LeBron's play this season all I can do is laugh at the people who doubted him and said he would be a terrible rookie and didnt deserve the fame. 18 year old just proved everyone wrong.
