    Gooden has plenty of baggage in tow

    While Cavaliers manage ment publicly dances around the issue, why - really - is newly acquired forward Drew Gooden now on his third team in just two years?

    Word is it's because Gooden has wasted little time earning a rep around the NBA as one of the league's biggest partiers - a guy who seems more enthusiastic about hitting spots after games than he does hitting the boards during them. {QUOTE:}

    I hope for the Cav's sake this isn't true, but it could be right on the money. Something has kept him on the move, and there are reasons why he has never lived up to expectations. My jury is still out until he shows me...............Tank

    Drew gooden
    Big Z

    Thats a pretty nice line i wdont know who there sf is maybe it will be lebron

    all in all ithink this was a good tradefor the cavs becuae they realy need a pf and i think ti will be nice to see how drew develops with a nice cheet of minutes for him.

    As for the magic i think they did the right thing in trading gooden if they dont seee him liking coming off of the bench after howard which speaks alot for a rookie( a christian rookie at that). It would have been unfair for a guy that has so much potential being drew or howard to ride the bench after the other one had to go and it looks as if magic chose youth over the goods.

    This is a great pickup for the cavs we losse Battie and gain a nice starting PF and a good backup center.

    Gooden was traded from Memphis because they were pretty clogged up at the SF/PF position and saw limited minutes. When Memphis saw the opportunity to gain a quality player in Mike Miller and clear up some of the clutter at the SF positoin, they traded Gooden and Giricek trade.

    He had a good outing in his first year with the Magic, but the next year, Juwan Howard was signed in hopes that they could play "small ball" with Juwan Howard at the center. Howard refused them and left Gooden the odd man out.

    Now the Magic get rid of Juwan Howard, they pick up Dwight Howard, a potential KG-type player in the making. Gooden is left the odd man out once again. I think I could see him as a quality bench player for them, but obviously the Orlando Magic saw differently.

    Anyway, when your a rich young NBA player, why shouldn't you go out and have some fun? You can't blame him for that, as long as he keeps his focus on basketball.
