Re: CB32's Mock Draft Why would we take Thornton? We haven't even worked him out and he seems just like another younger version of Antawn Jamison. I think we go with Morris Almond here.. he's an extremely talented scorer and good defender, and this draft is unpredictable. If not, we should/could go with Splitter, he's the best big man available.

Also, Morris Almond as high as 16? Ehh.

I feel even better about Yi now that I know his official age (19) and how he's even bigger than I thought. I still love my guy Jeff Green, but I wouldn't be opposed to Yi, and I think he's our guy.</div>Yi is actually 19 years old :shok: Source?

There are so many possibilities for pretty much every pick, there's a lot of things that can happen that will be make me (and many others) say "That didn't surprise me." I just think Wright is the 3rd best prospect, it could go either way, but I like his fit in Memphis as well.
Re: CB32's Mock Draft I don't think the Pistons go with another guard after picking Stuckey. He'll be our backup point guard, and we already have someone to fill in the two spot with Alex Acker. I think we'll take a small forward, or go big in that spot.
Re: CB32's Mock Draft I don't see us taking Pruitt at 27. He isn't really a true point guard and if we do take Stuckey at 15, there's no need for another combo guard. In your reasoning, you haven't updated it since you changed from Young to Stuckey, so I don't know if you just forgot to change the pick at 27?EDIT: Captain beat me to it.

Also, now that Billups opted out, taking Stuckey and Pruitt makes even more sense. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Stonesalltheway @ Jun 25 2007, 01:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I don't see us taking Pruitt at 27. Again, now that I heard about Chauncey, I feel even more comfortable with that pick.

What I meant about the updating thing is that in your reasoning for picking Pruitt , you mention picking Young at 15, so you might want to change that. And even with Billups opting out, we'll still probably resign him.

In all honesty, I think Morris Almond is the best SG in this draft behind Nick Young. He's great on the perimeter and can finish at the rim as well. He may be mediocre defensively, but he sure can improve, without a doubt. It's not like he doesn't have the athleticism to keep up with other SGs. He's also pretty muscular at 6'6.. he could add a few more pounds, but I think he's good at where he's at right now. Also, Almond fills a need for the Wizards, too. A backup SG. We don't really have a backup SG behind Stevenson (unless if you count the almighty Roger Mason, Jr).
Re: CB32's Mock Draft If Horford is taken by ATL, I think Memphis will either take Noah, or will have a trade already planned out with another team to trade down. So IMO, Memphis isnt going to draft Conley.
Re: CB32's Mock Draft http://www.bballworld.us/Draft/NBA-Mock-Draft.php I just made one minor change. DX keeps talking about Daequan Cook rising every day, and how New York is very high on him, so I moved him up 3 spots. I just switched Cook with Fernandez.

Re: CB32's Mock Draft On the information that West and Wallace are both high on Noah...and knowing the type of deals West does, it wouldnt surprise me to see us take a Wright(for other team security), and end up trading him on draft night for a Noah and extra...
Re: CB32's Mock Draft http://www.bballworld.us/Draft/NBA-Mock-Draft.php OK, I just made my last revision. I switched Conley/Wright and Thornton/Young.

I think Thornton's offensive abilities are outstanding, and I don't think he gets talked about as much as he should. I agree 100% with Danny Ainge when he says that Al Thornton is the best offensive player in this draft, other than Kevin Durant. I also think Nick Young is kind of one-dimensional, in the sense that he really brings nothing else to the table besides his mid-range shot and his athleticism. Thornton is stronger, probably even more athletic, an excellent rebounder, and he might even be able to play some 4 in small lineups.
