Ceder Village is just a couple blocks of student apartments at MSU. Cederfest is a tradition from the 80's thats died out because of the riots. its basically a block party that about 6000 people go to. it was just brought back this year...and it was absolutely nuts.

    First of all, that's awesome

But I'm missing what made that an unlawful assembly. While I would never argue that thousands of college students filled with libations doesn't require police presence in case things get out of hand, I don't see how titties warrants tear gas and rubber bullets. Remember ladies and gentlemen, there is a difference between presence, and action. I would expect I'm just missing something here. Sure there's the possibility of public drunkenness, but the loud noise that would naturally be generated by that many sober people couldn't have been the final cause. Hm...

edit: and "fuck the police" chants? That's freedom of speech! Hamilton is rolling in his grave right now (HBO John Adams FTW)
