I doubt that what is said in this forum has any influence on what is paid to the players. What is important is player performance, which seems to be independent of salaries. IMO, focus on strategies to win games, rather than be distracted about salaries. It is surprising that you think that I have any influence with NO.
I want him to have a career game 4...that's the truth....if he can stay on the court, that means he's having an impact...he just can't seem to stay on the court.
My bad, you are not like me. You don't have any influence on let's say Olshey's decisions or the outcome of a playoff series.
Only Meyers controls what happens to his place in the rotation...he's had plenty of chances to be a core player..Stotts has given him a lot of playing time since his rookie year...scientific method says, he'll probably be a career role player at this point. I agree about salaries...Aminu and Davis have really cheap deals with us. Turner, Crabbe and Meyers make rotation player money...a 7ft guy should be avg a double double...in 5 years Meyers doesn't have many of those.
Role player lmao. All of Meyers's stats point him as a player that should be out of the league. The eye test matches this as well.
I can't tell if Swish3 is an "English chap" or just pretending to be. Anyway this post wasn't as funny as some of his. Most of us here have always thought Leonard must be a center on defense and your post made me think maybe he could be more of a center on offense, because sometimes he has seemed to be more comfortable on his mid-range shots than his Swish3's. Unfortunately when I looked at a shot chart for him this year it looks as if he was making less than 33% on those mid-range shots.
I doubt that what is said in this forum has any influence on how the players perform. It is surprising that you think that we have any influence on player performance.
I saw one lob dunk by McGee over Meyers, but that one instance does not allow for generalizations. Let's remember Meyers defense against Cousins, Gobert, Gasol, Adams, Pachulia, and other notables and emphasize the best. There is a lot that Meyers has done which was much better than what we saw in quarters 3 and 4 of playoff game 3. What we say on here probably does matter, at least for the mindset of the many who read and discuss RipCity2. Even if players do not read it, they may hear it. Since basketball is a game of player confidence, emphasizing positives and looking for wins can influence the players. Many have noted, and interviews show that Meyers does really care. To support the Blazers, positive comments can help and negative slashes do not help. Let's emphasize the successes that we can orchestrate with Dame, CJ, Jusuf, Noah, Chief, Meyers, and all of the Blazers and lean towards the expectation of wins over the Warriors and winning the 2nd round. How do you know that noting the positives on this forum doesn't help until you try it?
Dame was getting railed a lot of the year and he just turned in a career season. Stop trying to make "fetch" happen.
