Plus you’re limited intellect hasn’t factored in that they’re going to sign Lafreniere and Miller to long term extensions now so they don’t get fucked next year

    1. I believe they can trade Nemeth, even if they have to include a little sweetener.
    2. A buyout of Nemeth saves them 1.5M this year, with only a minor future penalty. He won't be here next season if they need his room.
    3. They will add a # 2 C in the $5.5M-$6M range. Could be re-signing Strome, I hope not, but it will be someone.

And it is very much on the record no one is as smart as you. We are all very well aware of that. Just know that I always root for you to get something, ANYTHING, right. I am in your corner bro. Eventually it will happen.

Save $1.5M this year, all $2.5M next year, and only have a penalty of $1M each of the following two seasons. Well worth the Nemeth buyout if he cannot be dealt. A slam dunk.

Sean Monaghan is a guy I’ve always liked. Had a horrible season last year

If he's healthy he can put up 70-80 pts. There's some talk that maybe Calgary would eat a little salary to move him.

That dude Eklund is saying a Miller for Kakko deal is pretty close. Tough call for possibly only one year but maybe they figure they could extend him.

Those guys all sound good but to me the window is open now and a guy like Miller is the best option. Giving up a prospect for a one year rental that takes the team to the next level is worth it. JT addresses all the Rangers needs. Despite all the press I don't think Panarin is going anywhere and after a career scoring season it's not a terrible thing to have him back.

Depends on who the prospect is. There is no way the Rangers are giving up Kakko for one year of Miller. That's moronic. If the Rangers have any hope to manage the cap, they need to extend Miller and Lafreniere now to 5-6 year deals at smart a amount. Lafreniere should get 5 years, 20 m right now. I'd give Miller 5 years, 18 m, something like that. If Lafreniere goes off this season with first PP time, you aren't getting him for 4 million a year. Not even close. Thus why the cap is a huge problem right now. The Panarin contract is a huge cap issue.

Take Miller off the list for sure then. Eklund is never right, so he won't be coming, and I agree with that. Only one year left is not good enough. We need to go after someone with at least 2 years left on their deal for the #2 C slot.

Yup. Panarin's contract is an albatross and Zib's is not far behind. Kreider's is also bad but at 6.5M at least there is hope of moving that on in a couple of years.

Whoever dished out all those contracts was piss poor at managing the cap.

Kreider s contract and production is a bargain chuck. I would love to see drury trade panerin for an asset and take a lot of pressure off the cap. We have plenty of left wingers. I still would like drury to make LPD appear.

Blackhawks cleaning house. Not sure why they traded Debrincat and Dach given how young they are.

Yeah her questions are awful. Leave it to ESPN to make a big deal about the players' hair.
Unrelates note/question...does Bettman have Parkinson's disease?
