I think DeAndre will be moved along with Eric Bledsoe this offseason. I'm thinking Clips wanna offload DeAndre's contract (as he and Del Negro don't appear to get along anyway), then they will flip Bledsoe into a solid big man. I could see a 3 team trade in the works.
Have you ever watched either play? For every great dunk or block, they both make VERY stupid boneheaded plays. They make Travis Outlaw look like a MENSA member!
Damnit, I thought you didn't respond to posters with less than 1,000 post count. Was counting on you sticking to that... And yes, I've watched both extensively. DeAndre doesn't make stupid plays really - he just is a horrible FT shooter and pretty poor offensively (which we dont need an elite scorer @ C). Javale has his poor moments but I'd rather him be on our team when it finally clicks in his head than another team. Even if it doesn't click, he already would be the best defender on our team. So...
He may ANCHOR our defense, but he will SINK our offense. His own players yell at Karl to get him out of the game.
That's the problem. Why would we need such an offensive player at center? I want that guy to defend the paint and rebound efficiently. Perkins and ibaka aren't great scorers yet they work in okc.
This is why I wonder about Mozgov. The Knicks liked him and I bet try to get him back (Cheap) Hell he may suck for all I know, but I see similarities between he and Asik.
Pissed might be a little too strong of a word but 10 is too high for dieng and Iggy only gets us to a first round defeat in the playoffs. Olshey isn't going to turn the team over to two young Centers so don't see this scenario happening.
I think it would be more likely than blowing our load on mcgee We wouldnt have to take dieng at 10, could try to trade down 4-6 spots
(a) No, not really. There's so many centers in this draft that we should take ONE of them, and Dieng might be the best defender. He reminds me of Theo Ratliff, who, when healthy for the 76ers, was pretty fucking good. (I think they actually had a better record with him than they did when they traded for Mutombo.) Every year people get locked into sort of the consensus of all the mock drafts, and every year some GM drafts a player way higher than the mockers had him and turns out to be right. That GM is often Sam Presti. (b) I'm torn on Iggy. I've wanted him for years, but he might be a bit old for us now. (He's a year and a half older than LA.) What's good about him is that he's a better ball-handler than Matthews and can almost play PG in a pinch. Which, since Lillard is really a SG, would be helpful.
I'll picket the practice facility if Olshey blows $11.25m on that clown who only plays 18 mpg for Denver.
