We don't want VC even though he is a good player. RJ fits in with the Blazers probably better then anybody that has been mentioned in rumors in the last couple days. I'm not saying RJ is better then some of those players but fits better. Myself I rather have Butler if there was anyway to get him.

Maybe he has matured but IMO NJ can keep VC and his huge contract.

    My top 4 would be

    1.Wallace
    2.Butler
    3.Jefferson
    4.Carter

But I think Carter would bring the most excitement to the team and the fans just because we used to dream of seeing Carter's name on the back of a Blazers jersey. But I think Wallace, Butler or Jefferson would be better for the team chemistry. I just hope we don't get someone like Deng or Hinrich or Lee.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I agree. I'd much rather have Carter. His age is the only downside, but if he were in his 20s, he wouldn't be available.

Oh trust me I do. I've had to deal with him plenty of times before, and I know where you are coming from.

What's the furthest Vince has been in the postseason? I know Jefferson has at least been to a finals, Wallace hasn't done anything worthy of remembrance and Butler I can't remember. Was he with Miami or LA when they were making finals appearances?

Wow, i totally didn't mean for my post to sound like i was questioning vince's abilities. I actually want Carter over RJ.

I was actually curious to see what Vince's playoff experience was, seriously!

I know he was in the playoffs with Toronto... he might have gotten to the ECF, but I don't think so.

i don't see how anyone would want jefferson over carter. look at carters stats, they are identical to roy's. his contract is bad but im sure he can be productive for the rest of it

No, no, a thousand times no.

He is getting micro-fracture surgery within the week. Considering his history of knee and back problems, this is probably the end of his career.

I believe it was the game that he showed up for prior to tip-off after going to UNC on the same day to get his diploma.

Battier's not having surgery, is he... and he's the one that the Blazers get in that deal.

I would rather have RJ the VC. I agree VC stats are good and he is a good player but not worth his contract and he is to old for this team. He has 2 years max at playing at this level maybe not even that long. I just don't think KP wants VC with that huge contract and being his age but I have been wrong once before.

One more thing is I think this is our one last chance to add another real good player to our team before we are way over the cap. I just don't think KP wouldn't add VC with maybe only getting 2 more years when we could be adding a Butler, Wallace, RJ or someone at least here for the next 4-5 years and at least helping us compete to win it all. I don't think we can win it all in the next couple years.

    Doh!

I sort of assumed the first column was Portland. My bad.

I would love to get Shane.

VC has two more years guaranteed at 16+ and 17+ million with a team option for the third at 17+ million. I don't know where you got 5 million.

    1. I'm pleased as punch that we're baking as planned.

    2. Pritchard never said anything to suggest he was trading anybody, therefore do not blame your excitement on him.

    3. Chad Ford continues to throw names against the wall, hoping one will stick and make him look smart. I guess there's always the possibility of a first time.

So, about 3 times his actual value.
