I saw that too and swore that someone said he was short. I forgot to look for it though. Here is a link to all of the draft measurements if people want to peruse it: http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-measurements/
So say we stay at 22 and 44, and I'm assuming you want Varnado at 44, who do you want at 22? Varnado is a great defender. Not just blocking shots too, he is skinny but he knows how to position and use his body. I'm a Tennessee Volunteer fan so I saw them play Mississippi State at least 6 times over the years and I always liked him. He will have no offensive game in the NBA though.
I posted that he was short, I wish I could remember where I saw it, but somebody (in a draft blog I think?) mentioned that he came in at 6'4" 1/2 in socks ... 6'7" 1/2 is a world of difference.
Yeah, he is 6'8.75" in shoes, and players play in shoes. He will likely be listed as 6'9". I did agree that he could turn out like Adam Morrison, but Morrison is a full inch shorter and is a terrible athlete. Babbitt seems like a great athlete considering his combine numbers.
Of course they play in shoes I get the feeling you think I was being sarcastic, 3 inches IS a world of difference when you're talking about a flex forward. If he was 6'5" he'd get eaten alive
