I'm glad they aren't calling too many fouls early or anything...[IMG]

    <div class="quote_poster">Swish Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Uh oh, Brewer is hurt.</div>

Hurt? He ran into Oden on an incidental play and Oden's just so massive that he had to take a 30-second breather after that play. That's not exactly an injury.

Anyone see Oden own Brewer on that block? The big guy's so dominant defensively it's unreal.

And how about on offense? Richard's done a decent job on him, but every time Ohio State is able to get them to switch Noah on him, he has his way in the post. That just goes to show what an overrated defender he is. His long arms help him be a great help-side defender, but he can't go one-on-one defensively with any decent post player.

I just wish Ohio State's guards would stop making stupid fouls. Not only are they fouls that any rec-league player should know not to make but they're not even fouling hard, so they're letting the Gators get the basket and the bucket.

The foul story is very telling. 7-8 FT's for the Gators and 0-0 FT's for the Buckeyes.

I posted that when he was lying on the ground in pain. I didn't know what happend or how serious the injury was.

Howcome that foul on Joakim Noah was on the floor, taking the bucket from Oden away, yet earlier when Butler fouled Brewer on the floor, they gave him the and-one?

I can take bad officiating, but I can't take inconsistent officiating.

Also, has anyone else noticed that Corey Brewer has become increasingly arrogant. Back when I used to play against him in my high school days he was a humble kid, but now all of a sudden he's clapping right in the Ohio State players' faces, doing stupid dances after every basket, etc. It's ridiculous. Maybe some of Joakim Noah's obnoxiousness has rubbed off on him.

    ------------------------------------

    Halftime:

    Florida - 40
    Ohio State - 29

    Leading Scorers:

    Corey Brewer - 11 points (4-8 FG)
    Taurean Green - 11 points (3-4 FG, 3-3 FT)
    Greg Oden - 11 points (5-9 FG)

    Leading Rebounders:

    Greg Oden - 7 rebounds
    Ivan Harris - 4 rebounds
    Green/Horford/Richard - 3 rebounds

Again, the foul story is telling. The Buckeyes have only gone to the line once, whereas Florida now has ten attempts from the strike. That's a result of the Buckeyes not playing aggressive enough, but I also think that's a result of the reff's showing their inconsistencies.

I hate to blame the game on officiating though. There's so much more that has hurt the Buckeyes in this one, like flat play from Mike Conley, Jr., Ron Lewis, Daequan Cook, and Jamar Butler. They've gone a combined 4-12 for only eight points and three rebounds. That's a pathetic half for four players who are extremely intrical in the Buckeyes' offense.

This game looks over for the Buckeyes. They haven't handled defecits that well throughout the season, and they don't appear to be handling it well now either.

    You and 99% of America.

Florida fans are the most obnoxious fans on the face of the earth. They feel entitled to so much respect after having two good seasons, whereas there are teams out there who have been playing this caliber of ball since the 1950's against better competition and don't get the same respect.

Not only that, but the players are obnoxious as well, celebrating after every single play, be it a layup or a dunk, and they play a soft schedule all season long before they reach the tournament.

Also, it's hard to like hicks from the Sorry Educational Conference.

Don't worry though. This title will put them in the class with Syracuse, Maryland, etc. and a bunch of C-level legacy teams, not in the same class as Indiana, UCLA, Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina, UConn, Arizona, etc. and all of the historically "elite" teams, so after a year or two, you won't be hearing anything more from this club.

Those three's really hurt Ohio State. They weren't able to hit them and they got hit really hard by them, I think that was the difference. I think Oden played his best game of the Tourney. He played for a lot of the game as opposed to picking up cheap and fast fouls, and he really dominated the paint. Congrats to Florida.

BTW, Joakim Noah's mom looks young enough to be his girlfriend or something, wassup with that?

Ohio State did not come correct this game (except for Oden). Florida earned it.

I was expecting a win from Florida by 10 or so. I knew their experience at the end would carry them through. Great game though for both teams.

Joakim's dad isn't as ugly as he is, and he was a famous tennis player, so he scored a model for a wife (Joakim's mom).

I think it's fair to say that he's a freak now.

You think it was inexperience that lost them the game? That's funny, because Oden was money, Lighty was on point, and Conley, Jr. did great, especially in the second half. It was actually the upperclassmen that hurt Ohio State; guys like Jamar Butler, Ivan Harris, and Ron Lewis.
