Chan Gailey is the new offensive coordinator of the New York Jets, after all. One day after talks between the two sides reportedly were at an impasse, the Jets made it official late Tuesday, announcing Gailey as the first hire on Todd Bowles' coaching staff. Gailey, 63, was the odds-on favorite to land the job, and it was widely reported last week that a deal was imminent. But there was a report over the weekend that the Jets were cooling on Gailey, who Monday told ESPN that "everybody made it seem like a done deal -- everybody except me. ... Nothing's happened yet."
