I don't think Stotts is here forever. Eventually we will change the system. But to answer your question I think his better position is Center. Plumlee off the bench or moved down the road but for now Henson off the bench is also fine.

Yeah, I can't see us takin on Frye and his contract, he's really not something we need now and especially in the future

Bringing in Henson and the ways to make that work (shuffling the roster and rotation significantly/ assuming Stotts will leave/) sure sounds a while lot like trying to reinvent a wheel that isn't broken. Getting Monroe and plugging him in next to plumlee is easier and upsets less of the overall structure and plan for the team.

Monroe and Plumlee are way more alike then Henson and Plumlee. Monroe's best position is also Center. He can play PF but he wouldn't play next to Plumlee in the starting lineup (likely Plumlee would be benched in that scenario)

Monroe is not a good defender like Henson. Plumlee is also below average defender. It would be a nightmare having both those guys start.

Henson could be a good 5 in the mold of Whiteside but if I'm being completely honest, I like what Plumlee brings as our center, he has a unique skill set. I think Vonleh or a big name FA (Horford?) would be a better idea for our frontcourt.

Why would Horford at Super MAX (in the new CAP this summer) be better for us then Henson at 11 MIL? Just curious on that one....

Horford offensively is a really good #3 option that we are looking for. He also isn't a slouch defensively. We need a two way frontcourt man, Horford is the most obtainable near elite big man we can land this summer.

Sounds like a pipe dream but I good with trying it and moving on to option #2 after it doesn't work.

I think option #2 is Vonleh and throw money at a SF.

So Parsons or you have someone else in mind? And then when he turns us down? I not trying to sound depressing on purpose but dang they are long shots. Wish they weren't.

I'd love to have Channing Frye back on the team. I'm not altogether sure how he would be an improvement, maybe as backfill for pieces going out in a different trade?

Any chance Plumlee is a better defender against PF's then he is against bigger centers?

    Parsons/Barnes/Bazemore

We can land one of those.

You would think he could be. Although he doesn't move all that well laterally so if they were on the perimeter then I don't think it would work.

Because of? I think you could make a case he leaves DAL sure. But a lot of teams will have money and want him.

Bazemore isn't better than Crabbe imo. Would rather play him some minutes at SF it came down to it. Barnes is a no go at Super MAX for me personally. Iggy at 11 MIL is someone I would rather have then Barnes at 18 MIL plus. Parsons is a get. And someone I would like to get. But a lot of teams will want him. Lets hope something Olshey says sells him.

I like your thinking and you have to think money/value in these crazy contract times. Lillard got 25 mil and CJ may easily get 20 mil plus, you have to have a blend and pick carefully the guys you pay big bucks, a bad mistake can cripple you.

Barnes is a good shooter, can put the ball on the floor, is athletic and is a decent defender. He just needs to be on a team that will allow him more touches. He is a guy that can give you ~17 a night given the chance.
