Not quite, we pushed the CAVS into OT without two of our starters. So STF. Toko, you are starting to annoy me with your antics.
So you're saying he's better than Danny Granger and Kevin Durant. But Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade, and Kobe are on good teams.
Roy, imo, is the 7th best player in the NBA, borderline 6th player with Tim Duncan (of this year of course, not in his prime). LeBron, Paul, Wade, Kobe, Howard are the top 5. Then I think Roy/Duncan and whoever else to round out the top 10. *This is what that ESPN article said as well when they called him the Magnificient 7*
Those two are on inconsistent teams.. They are not above the level of the Blazers.. I would put NOH on the same level as the Blazers, and the Heat are below the level of the Blazers.. by quite a bit.
The TNT squad tonight talked about the matchups after the Denver/Laker game. Charles Barkley still labled our team as a "Jump Shooting Team". He couldn't give any more insight on how well LA has been doing, or how much this team has progressed. His comments have no intellectual meaning or a thought process behind it. He's getting lame.
He's a clown show, and Kenny Smith is his set-up guy. They are there for comedy, not for analysis. I guarantee that most of the regulars here could break down the strengths/weaknesses of the current Blazer team compared to Chuckles the Drunk.
In all fairness that is because we watch nearly every game. Chuck has seen Portland only a handful of times, at best. If he had watched Portland as much as we have he might have a different opinion. As it stands, he has seen the Lakers, Cavs, Celtics, Orlando and Miami more then anyone else. His opinion on those teams is more accurate as a result.
I prefer to fly under the radar. I want to be the team that isn't hyped, the team that isn't expected to succeed. They'll find out soon enough what we're about.
Since Barkley has labled us a "jump shooting" team. Perhaps he should take a look at our teams high percentage of 3 point shots. This article by J.Q, points out the fact that the 3 pt percentage this year is one of our strengths too. But of course Barkley is too lazy to find these 3 pt percentage facts in the NBA. http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindblazersbeat/2009/04/big_longrange_goals.html
