One side says hey, this suggestion could help. Scientists are suggesting it, let's give it a shot. The other side says fuck you, my freedumbs. First side says you're an idiot and making it worse. Both are in the wrong??

I would bet it was more prevalent in the past. I wonder what the stats would say now.

I'll let someone else dive into that rabbit hole.

It has to come from increased access to education health care improve social safety net and getting back to an education system based on facts and data.

Religion needs to be pushed far outside of any mandatory education, work, or government function.

People should be free to worship how they please as long as it doesn't interfere and is not imposed on others.

okay. I googled and posted. It didn't give names but claimed some disagreed.
But instead of discussing, you claim im harmful. Why? For doing a search and posting what i found? If what i found is not accurate then that also proves my point. We dont all know the same things. True facts are hard to find. We must have open snd homest dialogue to get thru this. Someone may be disregarding scientists because their news feed told them to.
Many people dont know who to trust and you are claiming thats my fault or peoples fault. Instead of engaging in conversations to figure out how they came to that confusion, you say they are wrong and harmful.
That is not open and honest dialogue.
This is part of what I'm referring to.

I reject the notion that I didnt have open and honest dialogue.

You're just under the utopian belief that it alone is the reason we arent getting better AND its the way we get better.

We have laid out a multitude of reasons why its eroded, from disbelief in science and education, to the advent of social media used as misinformation highways.

At some point that needs to be acknowledged, but your feet got stuck in the mud. Thats where the frustration is coming from.

This is WAY more than words and dialogue can fix because the actions that could even come from that are stopped at the corrupt powers that have precipitated all of this.

Yes, itd be NICE if words and dialogue did it, but that simply isnt reality anymore. That ship has sailed. And its really fucking sad.

well, on one side there were people talking about the effectiveness of masks, social distancing, and washing hands while advocating for the efficacy of vaccines while on the other side there was a president advocating for people to chug bleach and take a livestock de-wormer

    Whoa. Bunch of assumptions again.
First your first post in this thread was not open and honest dialogue. it was rage and hatred. But it was deleted….
Second i never said this alone is eroding us.
No. Im saying without this, we wont fix anything. Many things are taking us down, but there is a first step in rectification and that is what im saying. Open and honest dialogue with those we disagree with is the first step to a resolution.

lol did you ever talk ivermectin? Or did you just listen to what reports and the media said about it?

I know first hand people that took it and got better the next day, all symptoms went away within 36-48 hrs.

Joe Rogan also took it when he had Covid, talks about him firsthand experience about it. And others too

If you didn’t take it personal or know anyone that did then you’re only going on second and third hand opinions.

don’t follow the herd or you will step in shit

You are still fixating on who is right and wrong and finger pointing.
If they said fuck you my freedom comes first then maybe there wasn't a unified and clear education push for all to understand, especially since the early stages had mixed reports on how masks would evne help? Instead of providing more education, they were told they are the problem. The education came later.

But this is all so far off track from my original statement. Of course both sodes need to be open and honest. Of course they are not the same and one may be worse than the other. BUt to claim it is only one side is naive at best.
Just because they are worse, two wrongs make a right?

It doesn't matter. They are both right. They are both wrong. Education only comes from open ears and eager minds. Both teacher and student. Not angry emotional outbursts.

The push back on my original statement is…. Well I guess expected, considering the current social climate.
Like i said. Even intelligent/educated folks are falling into this war of division instead of searching for common ground and unity to build from, to earn trust, to then educate each other on our differences.

Joe Rogan was vaccinated before that ..the guy takes about 30 supplements a day, he's hardly a good example of invermectin curing covid although I have yet to hear of that happening in unvaccinated people. Joe was vaxxed and took it....which cured him/ His vaccination or his invermectin or one of the dozens of supplements he takes? Rogan is the last place to search for the voice of reason around covid. If it worked for your friends, cool....I've never had covid but at 71 I've had 4 vaccination shots and I'm on heart meds...I've improved since getting vaxxed. My experience is that my family was protected by the vaccine. Never getting covid to me is like not stepping in shit. Covid was a damned good reason to be overly cautious with safety measures. So was SARS and I lived through that epidemic too....happy to wear a mask and wash my hands often. Never got SARS either. Modern medicine has protected me many times. I'm a fan.

By not respecting academia and science a lot more people died than needed to during COVID.

This has led to kids at schools not wanting to listen to teachers. Acting out when teachers try to teach science. When they try to teach politics. To the point the teachers avoid teaching these things.

    It's dangerous.
