she should honestly leave San Antonio and coach in more systems. That’s what Udoka did. Since she didn’t play in the league she’s already behind some other people. Being limited coaching wise as well won’t help her. This all assuming she isn’t Pops heir.

Blazers are looking like the next Thunder/Rockets. What a stupid hire by an incredibly stupid GM.

I'm happy we didn't hire a coach that's 70 years old....I'm 67 and can't imagine the grind of an NBA season ...the time changes...I'm ready for all the old guys to retire and let young people take on the coaching grind for a change...it's why I don't think Terry Stotts or D'Antoni or Van Gundy should pursue more of the few jobs out there for coaches

Guy I wanted at the beginning, middle, and end of the “coaching search”. Not sure why anyone would have a problem with this. Great leader, won a chip as the leader of a defensive team, high bball iq, respected by many players throughout the league(which could actually help in FA someday). Let’s not overthink this, it’s a Win.

As far as the Billups allegations: I understand why people are uncomfortable or mad. Unfortunately, we dont know the truth and never will. If it is true, then you obviously CANNOT and SHOULD NOT hire him. But we simply don't know and probably shouldn't act like we do. I would like to believe that the front office and ownership has vetted this out and gotten a good feel for what might've happened, but I'm not sure. I also understand why people would be mad about hiring someone with a questionable incident of such nature in their past. But we shouldn't make it out as if the allegations are automatically true just because Billups settled. People will parse over the allegations and find reasons to believe them or not. I've already heard people arguing both sides of that. In the end, it all ends up back in a situation where we simply don't know, and so I'm going to give him a chance as a head coach and hope that he does a good job for our franchise.

Was Ben Wallace a known defender? He might be the greatest defensive specialist big man ever. I would think that we could bring in Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace, Fitz and an offensive specialist.

I feel like the collective IQ of this place has taken a nosedive in the last few hours. Like hiring a coach has brought out the worst

In other words, you're saying the Blazers should hire an offender.

    Shame on you.

Would Darvin ham come here as an assistant? He was teammates with Billups in Detroit.
