How do you really know what true with the media anymore.
With people spending lives on forums and internet its like wildfire when something juicy comes out. And so much of it is speculation, conjecture, rumors, rumors and of course opinions. No wonder organizations are skeptical of reporters and tabloids.

Not to me. I hope Chauncey has a spectacular career here and He and Neil fulfill Dames dream of a championship here.

I read that OPB article twice just because after reading it once, then reading posts in here I thought for sure I missed something. So I read again. I am not sure why people have their heels stuck in the ground so firmly. Some people were contacted some weren’t, some are dead or have Alzheimer’s or wouldn’t respond and so on. Could they not do a thorough investigation if they didn’t speak with everyone? I think they could especially when people have been investigating and interviewing people about this off and on for two decades. What more is there to unearth? Like everything else people had an initial opinion and will never change their mind.

Will September be sufficient time to fire Olshey?

It will be after the FA period. I expect that we'll materially have the exact same squad (minus Powell). The marquee acquisition will be someone one the "Bjelica/Theis/Alec Burks" skill level. All the other moves will be minimum contract guys. What a FANTASTIC off-season... :smiley-predaja:

This is how the Mavs "handled" Kidd's situation today.

    Refer to 34:22

I'm looking forward to Neil making some good moves, Chauncey coaching our Blazers up, and Dame leading them on the most incredible ride to win the Championship.

You think Olshey could have gotten away with saying he did the investigation himself?

No, but at the very least they didn't brush off the issue. They certainly didn't cut someone off when they asked a question that they felt was "already answered". The answer at 34:22 is way more in depth than what we got out of Olshey, and while I don't think it would have satisfied anyone in the Portland media, I still think they addressed the questions better than Olshey did.

It's a bit different though. There's no investigations needed since Kidd is convicted.

Didn't seem like They wanted to dwell on the subject very long in comparison to the Portland Media. Yes man answers is what i saw, including the CEO who said she is a Domestic Violence Survivor. She basically said she's satisfied & we've moved on. Where was their Dia to bring down the Holy Wrath on Kidd and the CEO?

    Maybe not

The Mavs actually faced this head on and answered all the questions asked. The Blazers gave a quick prepared speech and then blocked further questions on the matter. One franchise was transparent. The other was not.

I call B.S. She acted like he had never done anything and as long as he doesn't misbehave again, we're all good. That was the most vanilla answer back i've ever heard.

Everyone's butthurt over the PR person interrupting a question that was ALREADY ANSWERED. Open your ears and move on. This Dallas conference was an old fashioned political spin doctor fest, with nothing said. We have a ZERO tolerance policy, but it only applies when you actually work for us. That chit happened long ago. He's sorry, we're good.

I don't agree. The Blazers weren't completely transparent due to Olshey's stupid "proprietary" comment and the public affairs lady cutting off questions, but the Mavs basically didn't do an investigation at all.

You think that one time that he admitted to hitting his wife is the only time he was abusive to her or other women?

I think Chauncey's reputation, class act conduct, and respect he's earned, is what validates him as a fine hire. Now he gets to instill his basketball knowledge, insights & schemes as a head coach, of a storied franchise! Rip City
