    +/- numbers are odd tonight.

Two bulls in + territory: Thabo +1, Hughes +5
Four rockets in + territory: TMac +1, Head +9, Landry +12, Jackson +12
    (one starter for each team)

Bulls just can't seem to go ahead.

Tyrus and Noah make nice individual plays but are just as prone to missing a shot or turning the ball over.

    I'd like to see

    Gordon
    Hinrich
    Deng
    Gooden
    Noah

I didn't mention it earlier, but I think that Carl Landry guy is kind of a bad ass.

Scola's a pretty nice player too and he seems to be having his way with Tyrus.

The real killer to me is on defense. I think competent team defense for bigs might well be the hardest thing almost every big needs to learn when coming into the league. It's why you almost never see them playing big minutes from the get-go like you sometimes see perimeter guys (who have more individualized defensive assignments) do.

Lots of Gordon-Hughes backcourt with Duhon nowhere to be found.

That is not a complaint on my part.

I was about to mention this to you.

He's running the offense well, but he's also 1-7. :/

^^^ He's also playing with Huges and Gooden, who don't really know the offense.

Gordon just made a nice pass inside to Gooden who scored (but no assist).

I gotta say I really really really dislike Jon Barry. Annoying comment after annoying comment.

    We're going to like Gooden.

    10 pts, 6 boards in 16 minutes

Hughes just looked a bit like he used to in DC; running, driving, hanging in the air and scoring. Keep that up Larry!

Still, the Bulls need to close this distance. They're down by seven

The announcer is full of it, the Bulls had enough expiring contracts (plus Tyrus) to get Gasol. Don't know if Memphis would have accepted it, but pretty sure the Bulls didn't offer it.

    It's weird.

Gordon wasn't scoring, and he was getting burned.

Bring in Hinrich, he immediately gets a layup. In 3 or 4 minutes, the deficit has gone from down 6 or 8 to down 14.

What's the point of this timeout-- the deficit is 19 points with 3 minutes left.
