here is my bulls off-season plan its kind of long tho.

    Bulls Off-Season Plan

The Bulls will plan on keeping Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon, Luol Deng, Andres Nocioni, Tyson Chandler, and Chris Duhon.

The players off the books are Erik Piatkowski, Randy Livingston, and Luke Schenscher.

Players the bulls will use in trading for someone better is Jannero Pargo, Eddie Basden, Michael Sweetney, Othella Harrington, and possibly Darius Songaila (im not sure if he can be traded tho, he has helped this team 2).

Picks the bulls will use in trading for someone better is the Bulls 2006 first rounder, the bulls 2007 first rounder and the New York Knicks option to swipe the pick (are bulls able trade the swipe pick the Knick gave them? I am kind of new with learning how trades and stuff work) and the Knicks 2008 and 2009 secound rounders.

A star player like Chris Bosh is the only one I see that paxson should go after, if Bosh does not want to stay in Toronto another season. ( I really want to c him please please please : ) I think we have the best to offer Toronto if that does happen. We do not need stars like Kevin Garnett, Allen Iverson, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and etc to be a great team. When you look at our team now, it is better then theirs. Why ruin our roster for guys whose teams are worse then ours?

From the draft we only need one player. I think Paxson will likely trade the other pick. Top people in the draft will be Lamarcus Aldridge, Adam Morrison, Rudy Gay, and Tyrus Thomas. We can already narrow it down to two players Lamarcus Aldridge and Tyrus Thomas since we are full at the SF position. I would prefer to get Tyrus Thomas. I think Lamarcus Aldridge is really overrated because of his height. Tyrus Thomas can also still grow and to me is the better player. Remember Deng was 6?8 his rookie year and now he is 6?9.

The free agency this year is not as weak as many think it is. Well, I do not think so I think next year is especially weak since the top players like Wade, Lebron, and Melo, ect WILL BE RESIGNED by their teams. Well at least weak for us. So who else is their? That we can use that will not likely sign with the team they are on now. The only one I can think that he might not want to be back on that team is Chris Bosh but I hope we can somehow get him for next season. The most likely free agents Paxson will be looking to get this season are Drew Gooden, Nene, Al Harrington, Nazr Muhammad or Joel Przybilla. In my opinion we should only be looking to get Nene, Nazr Muhammad, or Joel Przybilla. They are all capable of playing center. Which we need right now. We have plenty of power forwards who are struggling to play center. so that knocks off Drew Gooden and Al Harrington. I would prefer Nene I just do. What would Muhammad do that Tyson cant right now or possibly improve on during the off-season other than leadership? What can Joel Przybilla do that Tyson cant right now or possibly improve on during the off-season other than leadership?

The Bulls signings and re-signings will also be very important
Antonio Davis was big factor in this team success last year. Paxson needs to make sure he signs him. Paxson should sign Jay Williams (sorry but I am a Jay Will fan. Hey I?d rather have him than Pargo.) Paxson should re-sign Malik Allen great to have around does bring leadership. Hopefully Paxson can sign Adrian Griffin or at least another vet.

Now how do you like this line-up?

    Starters

    Kirk Hinrich 6?3
    Ben Gordon 6?3
    Luol Deng 6?9
    Chris Bosh 6?10
    Nene Hilario 6?11

    Bench

    Tyson Chandler 7?1
    Tyrus Thomas 6?11
    Chris Duhon 6?1
    Andres Nocioni 6?7
    Jay Williams 6?2
    Malik Allen 6?10
    Antonio Davis 6?9
    (VET SG)

Now we have 3 leaders Antonio Davis, the vet SG, and Malik Allen.

To me do we really need a tall shooting guard unless it is a vet people say we need to get someone in the draft that can play SG. No one was complaining about it last year. If it really becomes a problem put deng at shooting guard for that game. Ben has been able to shoot over taller shooting guards and centers. I know you Bulls fans have seen him do that.

I don’t know about you guys, but I have a really bad feeling about Thomas. He just seems like the bust of this years draft class. His game is based to much on potential, and how he “might” develop. He had a good tournament, but before that how high where most people ranking him on their draft charts. I don’t know I hope I’m wrong he seems like a good kid, but he seems to slender and small to play at a physical level in the NBA.

Thomas played great all season, he just didn't gather a national audience until Tourney time. I'm still more leaning towards Aldridge, just due to overall game and consistency. I see a smaller Amare in Tyrus' game. Raw, athletic, a monster with heart and desire. You can tell watching him he has heart. Aldridge seems at this point to be the "safer" pick, buut telling signs often are personal workouts, summer development (if a player declares and goes right to work on what scouts think he needs to improve on, shows a lot) and matchups againts like players in front of scouts and GM's. Last season scouts said Frye needed to bulk up and get a mean streak or he'd get eaten alive in the NBA. He hit the weights hard and started gettin bullish. I saw him during the Tourney, and then again after the draft in person, when I was playing in the Summer League, I told Mr J he'd love this kid in NY and he would impress. Until his injury, Frye was outplaying Bogut and was looking at 1st team All Rookie. If Thomas heeds advice, and gets to work ASAP, and trains, adds weight, a better stroke out to 17 feet, he's gonna do some things in the League due to his amazing athleticism and his insticts for defense and the glass. That's just a lot to pass up on. He reminds me of Shawn Kemp when he first came into the L. Explosive, not much offense besides dunking, but look what became of him (pre lockout and the bust line, er, waist line)

It's on ESPN, it's also been posted on here. Paxson has taken a liking to Thomas, and although his draft history has shown he's been on point, I'm not so sure I like the small team he keeps throwin out there. We need some size, and Aldridge gives us that. Both of them need to hit the weights, but LaMarcus has the height, and both are projected to play the 4 in the NBA. 6-11 vs. 6-9, and Aldride has a sweeter game on the offensive, both face up and back to the basket, rebounds just aswell, and d's up, just doesnt block as many shots and isn't as explosive. I'm torn, and I'm hopin when I'm back in NY from mid-late June, I'll be able to run scrimmage some the same time as their workouts and get a first hand look, ala last summer.

Deng was a big small forward, and wasn't bad at all his rookie season, and he had more scoring ability.

well it looks like chris bosh it out of the picture i knew it but its always good to hope lol. but this will probably be the bulls offseason plans short and simple and a lot more wins. i dont think paxson will try and get a superstar.

    strarters

    kirk hinrich 6'3
    ben gordon 6'3
    luol deng 6'9
    antonio davis 6'9
    nene hilario 6'11

    bench

    tyson chandler 7'1
tyrus thomas 6'11 i hope he gets that tall i know hes only 6'9
    chris duhon 6'1
    andres nocioni 6'7

possibly malik allen and daris songaila and somemore will be on the roster.

then we get the to swipe the pick from the knicks so were all good hopefully next year the knicks standings r like they r now and we get greg oden.

The Bulls current salary number is $47,845,093 which is fourth lowest in the league. At the conclusion of the 2005-06 NBA season the Bulls will head into free agency with six players under contract, excluding a player option on Songaila, they will have a total cap number of $18,292,392, prior to signing the rookies they will drafting the 2006 NBA draft, heading into the off-season.

    Cool good to know.

Think Bulls will have a problem with all those quality players coming up for FA at the same time? I mean Deng Hinrich Gordon and Chris Duhon all have contrats ending on the same year (assuming qualifying offers are made)

I thought Hinrich's contract ends a year earlier then Deng, Gordon and Duhon (as well as Nocioni)

Kirk Hinrich, Andres Nocioni, and Michael Sweetney's contracts all expire after the 2006-07 season. Ben Gordon, and Luol Deng's deals end after the 2007-08 season in which they will then become restricted free agents.

What are the chances we keep all of them?

To be honest with you I think the chances of us keeping Duhon, Deng, Gordon, and Hinrich here for a long time are very good. I think we will lock up Hinrich before he even gets a chance at free agency. After that I believe somewhere down the line, especially if we get Aldridge in the draft and he develops quickly, we will trade Chandler. Thus after unloading his contract we will have enough money to resign Gordon, Deng, and Duhon who?s deal also expires at the same time. We have bird rights to everyone except Duhon so we will probably keep Deng and Gordon unless they request us not to match.

As far as Nocioni goes I don?t think he wants to remain in the NBA. There have been numerous rumors circulating around the internet from papers like the Chicago Tribune, Sun Times, etc. that Andres does not like the way the NBA game is played. He is also not happy with the bad reputation he has gotten as a ?dirty player? for playing hard nosed defense. Many suspect he will return to the European leagues when his contract expires. I don?t know how much truth there is to that, but that?s the rumor.

If we lose any of them it will not be without getting something in return.

I just wanna keep Deng. I hate the NBA when it comes to keeping players.
