I'm also jumping on the Bulls bandwagon this year. The Suns are gonna redeem themselves after that '93 Finals loss this year. This Bulls team is lookin pretty good.
"Tyrus Thomas' NBA debut ended early; he went to the Bulls' locker room with 7:43 left with a broken nose. He and Heat forward James Posey collided while going for a rebound, and Thomas took a hard fall underneath the basket. "First game, first broken nose. Welcome to the life," Thomas said."
LoL at everyone jumping on the Bulls bandwagon. As I said before, until they get a #1 scoring option (you will not see Hinrich go for 26PPG for the season) they will not get to Finals. Their defense is superb, but team is still lacking offensively.

Sure, they put up 100+ points tonight, but don't expect that to happen every single night. At this point in time they are a contender for the ECF, but in order for them to be a legitimate threat to win the championship they either need one of their young guys (I.e. Ben Gordon) to develop into a big time scorer (at least 22-25 points a night) or they need to go out and get a 22-25 point per game scorer to put them over the top.
I think they'll have enough scoring to do it. Ben Gordon will surprise this year and the team as a whole will do pretty well offensively. We'll see but I'm feeling might comfortable in the bandwagon right now.
What I like most about the bulls is their deep bench. They played 11 players in the first half when the game was still close. Fatigue should not be an issue with this team. Man I feel so good seeing Miami get a beatdown. It doesn't make up for the end of last season but it got me over the nausea of ring night.

I thought the emotion of getting their rings would carry over to the court. The Bulls depth is amazing. Every player on the team is solid, and they have the best bench in the league period. The Bulls stifled the Heat. Offensively nothing at all was happening for the Heat except Dwayne Wade. Shaq couldn't do anything, and the rest of the role players played terrible too. The Heat better keep their heads up, because a loss like this on such an emotional night could send them in the wrong direction.P.S. I found myself rooting for Ben Wallace. I will admit I was bitter when he first left us, but he is still one of my favorite players in the league.
Wow. Nobody other than Dwyane Wade showed up for the Heat last night. With a team like the Heat they need a couple role players to play real well and they didn't. Shaq looked terrible. I'm not going to fly off the handle after one game but my god...I do not like Miami's rotation at all.

I loved this game, mainly because I love how the Bulls played. They're a very fun team to watch. I'll keep my eyes on them this season...but I want to say 2 things...1. Who the hell picks opening night schedule? On 2004, opening night was on Election day...this year it was on Halloween...are you serious???2. Why do damn time zones have to exist? *cries*Since last week Puerto Rico has been 1 hour over Eastern time, so the Heat vs Bulls game last night started at 9pm. The Lakers/Suns game started at 11:30pm! Do you think I'm going to stay that late on a school night just to watch a bball game? I really wanted to watch it, though.

I would stay up to watch a game if it started at midnight. No joke either, ESPECIALLY on opening night.
The Heat started slow last season as well, this loss doesn't bother me 1 bit. I'am worried about Jason Williams though, I just noticed how big of a role he played for the team. He brings more energy and points then Gary Payton does. Shaq also had an off day, not something I expect to see much throughout the season hopefully.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I guess that's the difference between me and you. I stayed up to about 1 something just to finish watching that LA game, no way I was gonna miss a game from my favorite sport.

Neither one of us had no idea it was that late. It's ok though, we are both homeschooled, but still. Also, for anyone that watched the game last night (or even watched the highlights), who likes my avy? :dribble:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (KCX @ Nov 1 2006, 03:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>sick avy!! is it on youtube already</div>I don't know. I got it from NBA Video Central (program that lets you download ANYTHING. Every single game recap from every team, every NBA TV daily, every NBA top 10 plays of the night.. and week, every night's dunk of the night, every nights play of the day, etc. D-League highlights for christ sake). And no, I don't have the link to that anymore, sorry.
