The employees where I work (me included) have agreed to take a permanent pay cut so that no one will be fired.... and I'm not getting paid millions of $, far from it.

I'm not saying Roy should not make the max. However, he should understand that this MAY be a decision he is making (having a buddy fired instead of taking less) and he doesn't know it. Of course, it may never come to this. However, he is acting like he doesn't understand the bargaining process and he doesn't understand what's at stake. Under these circumstances, people should not be bitching about KP. (They should bitch about KP for other reasons )
