I would really get out of LA or try to visit other places you may not have before. Bookstores, coffee shops, the park (do you even have normal parks in LA that aren't some weird suburban getup), maybe the theatre (plays etc not movies). Sign up for some social interest groups for things you like. Sign up for new classes for things you might be interested but haven't given a try yet. Kayaking, something weird. Recreational softball? I know those kinda things sound nerdy and queer but maybe you'll meet somebody solid there that isn't vapid.
