Right now Chris Bosh averages:22.7 points per a game10.70 rebounds per a game2.4 assits per a gameDwight Howard averages:17.6 points per a game12.20 rebounds per a game1.9 assits per a gameI'm still going to have to choose Chris Bosh. The way that he has help out the Raptors has been great. The Magic are doing good and are probaly going to make it to the playoffs. Though overall I still think that Chris Bosh is a bit of a better player than Dwight is. Though the race is close for those two.
Bosh IMO is the better player on offense. He has more range, post moves, and a good shooting touch for his size. He can get to the foul line and bank them consistently and is a more offensive threat than Howard.Howard is much more better than Bosh in rebounding and defense. He is more intimidating to otrher players when they drive than Bosh because of his size and muscle. Howard is a classic big man that can only play in the paint. That is really waht you need instead of a shooting big man that has post moves as well. Loook at the other successful teams in the league they all have great big men and Howard has the size to guard them all.
I think Bosh is improving every single year on defense and that is becoming his main focus now, sure he cant push big men out of the paint like Howard does and he doesn't swat every shot in the paint like Dwight but he does alot of the little things that help win games! How many times (raptor fans) have you watch a game when the score is close and every possesion counts and Bosh goes for the charge which swings the momentum into the Raptors favor? Or how many times have you seen Bosh finsh a dunk or w.e and then be the first one to run down the court and swat the shot?? One more thing, Bosh cant hit 3s
Did ya'll know Bosh was taller? I don't know why they have Howard listed as 6'11 (and as a 7-footer on one occassion)? Bosh is taller than Howard in every game I see them in (and if you look at Bosh closely, you'll notice he's a big sloucher - on and off the court), not to mention that Garnett towers over Howard, which makes it unlikely he's anywhere close to 6'11. Anyone else know more about this?Anyways, getting back on topic, Bosh is a better prospect. Despite Howard's posting up more blocks and more rebounds, Bosh's figures get better every year, whereas Howard's have actually stagnated from one year to the other. Plus Bosh seems to average at least 1.5 more rebounds than each preceding year, so if that pattern continues (let's hope) we can expect Bosh to post up figures of 12.2-12.4 rpg for the 2007-08 NBA season. What I can tell about Bosh, is that he's consistent, you know what to expect from him (he takes that "slowly but surely" route), whereas Howard is the opposite he shows one thing one year, and then another the next. When you're not McGrady or Gervin, that sh*t don't work.
I think that Dwight could end up being an unstoppable beast, or he could hold water where he is and slowly decline with his athleticism over the years. Dwight is already the number one post scorer in the league (in terms of points per game in the post) despite only taking 11 shots per game, and that number should only go up. Dwight is one of those guys that either he'll get it or he won't, whereas Bosh is a lot easier to bank on.

Both Bosh and Howard are struggling against the Nets and Pistons (respectively). So, it's not stats people may want to take into consideration at this precise moment, as both players are clearly going into some sort of slump at the moment. Hopefully, their game performance will improve from here on out. I know my man Deng can vouch on it. :happy0144:
Christ, it's two games, that tells nothing about an individual player unless they're averaging 25% FG% or 30-15.

I was just stating that both had entered a slump, though mind you, if Bosh had played as well in Game 1 as he did in Game 2 (25 pts, 13 rbs, 2 blks) the stats would largely be in his favor.

Bosh averaged 20 and 10 as usual, and Howard proved his a good rebounding + defensive player and not a leader on the offensive end.
