Yes Aldridge confirmed but said it's highly unlikely. Aldridge basically said NO is wanting three things. 1.) reduction of salary, 2.) youth, 3.) picks. Clippers aren't willing to give up the picks. It was really weird because they were just talking about Clippers and Lakers, then out of nowhere Aldridge says Portland shows interest.

I really don't know. I've stopped looking after the 6th year I got it. Remember I'm from L.A. area. The only way I get to see Blazers is ordering it. So price is not an issue to me.

CP3 isn't worth the risk anymore

Wallace (1yr left), Felton (expiring), Camby (expiring) Oden (with his birds rights), and our unprotected pick for CP and Okafor?

Then amnesty Roy and get Landry.

    Would be sick.

Throw in Batum and Freeland and I think it's a fair offer. You have to factor in what the ownership wants. David Stern obviously isn't budging.

They'd probably want Batum for sure. He is the youth. Felton and Camby (the savings), Oden (I just might think they would take that risk cause they just want Oden to succeed). I think we could pry Okafor too even without Wallace.

It would be definitely a "WIN NOW" mode cause we just closed window to about 3-5 years.

All we need is another player with red flags about the long term future of his knees. I'll pass on CP3 as crazy as that might sound.

To be honest, I actually agree with you. I don't know if my heart can accept another star player going down like Roy.

Yeah, but we really don't know how bad it is. Roy's knees were degenerative.

Aldridge said Portland would love to get in on it but doesn't if know if they are or even have the interest.

Well for one thing... Paul would be pretty hungry to stick it to both L.A. teams to show them what they missed. LOL

I just don't think Paul wants to come here, and if he did he wouldn't want Aldridge to be part of the deal. So if Aldridge can't be traded, who else would NO want?

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7bgzk9v

That's the best I can do without trading Aldridge. I don't think they'd really want Wallace, so Batum, Felton, Camby, Oden, and Babbitt for Paul and Okafor. They clear the space and get a couple of young guys. Maybe Oden turns out, maybe he doesn't.

    Paul/Smith/Johnson
    Wes/Crawford (I can dream)
    Wallace/??
    Aldridge/Thomas
    Okafor/??

You think Paul isn't smart enough to know it was the Dan Gilbert's of the world and little Napoleon keeping him from where he wants to go?

So David Aldridge said the Blazers would love to get in on trading for CP3 but doesn't know if the Blazers are even interested?

    OK..............

Many people will thank Sterno for the outcome...but the conflict of interest concerns aren't going away, and neither are the broader questions about the NBA's integrity.
