<div class="quote_poster">Quoting LRVBADASSBALLIN:</div><div class="quote_post">He was better than Kidd this season imo.</div> I disagree. Kidd's team went to the playoffs, Paul's team fizzled out in the second half. Kidd averaged 13.3 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and 8.4 APG compared to Paul's 16.1 PPG, 5.1 RPG, and 7.8 APG. Paul's season was incredible, very similar to LeBron's rookie season, but until he gets his team to the playoffs, granted no one expected them to even contend, he isn't better than Kidd.
Every player is different. There's no other player like Chris Paul, just like all of the players listed in this post are unique. None of these players could stop Chris because he can easily go around them and lay it in. But obviously he couldn't stop most of them because of size, strength, skill, etc. You can't compare them. But I strongly disagree that he is not one of the top 10 players in the NBA and will carry the League and be it's most visible personality when the NBA shifts from pushing Labron James and Carmelo Anthony to Chris Paul. Dwayne Wade is worth every superlative I can imagine, but he's not the first choice for the face the NBA want's pushing their product. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheBlackMamba:</div><div class="quote_post">Chris Paul doesn't crack the top 10, maybe 20, if he's lucky. Kobe Bryant Steve Nash LeBron James Dwyane Wade Dirk Nowitzki Kevin Garnett Tracy McGrady (healthy) Yao Ming (healthy) Gilbert Arenas Jason Kidd (arguably) These are all players that are better than Paul, now. I don't doubt that Paul will one day be a top 10 player in the league. With his playmaking, I see him as a MVP candidate one day. I don't know if you were being sarcastic or not, but saying he's the best player in the league is utter jibberish.</div>
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheBlackMamba:</div><div class="quote_post"> That is sick. I thought Amare was 100%??? JK, but sick block, none the less.</div> Paul was obviously in good position to block the shot and probably covered alot of floor to get to the ball. But without seeing the whole play, it's difficult to judge Amare's position when he got the ball; he may not have had his legs beneath him or could've been off balance when the ball carromed his way and he was just trying to lay it in without pulling the ball in and going up strong.
man, chris is a beast. hes one of the future greats IMO. feel bad for amare though.....no, not really.
With Amare looking like that, I like my team's chances to repeat as Western Conference Champs. Nice block either way though

I really hope Amare gets back to 100%. When he's healthy, he's like no other NBA player. Sure, I hope he has bad games against the Lakers, but I love to the greats play, and he could be one. It'd be ashame for him to not live up to what his career could've been because of this injury.
Wow talk about embarassing for the big man. Then again, I've seen little guys like Paul outrebound much bigger guys and actually block tall guys or dunk over guys. A guy's height doesn't really matter as long as he plays big every single trip back and forth. This includes having the combo of agility, smarts, strength, quickness or at least two of the four to make some impact on a play
He had his team in the playoffs until injuries decimated the team to a skeleton crew and even Paul had to miss several games. By the time they had brought in about 6 new bodies in Feb. and Mar. it was too late, and remember this was in the toughest division in the strongest conference.
