Sure he may not have been great at defense but both are undersized pg's who are great leaders.</div>Defense is half of the game, heres a comparison for you. LeBron and Jordan, amazing scorers, what seperates them? Defense.

I actually bothered watching him several times and I can say he plays good defense, not a lockdown defender but he keeps up with his man very well.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Zards @ Jul 7 2006, 12:51 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>When you look at Chris Paul's rookie year with the Hornets, (his individual performance) you have to ask yourself: "Will he become the next Oscar Robertson?" No, Chris Paul did not average 30 ppg like Oscar did in his rookie year, but his good all-around numbers certainly can become comparable to Oscar's numbers. Paul averaged 16 ppg, 5 rpg, and close to 8 apg. All of that and bringing the lowly Hornets from the bottom to the league, to a team that can compete. Everything was just fine until after the All-Star Break. That's when they started to go down, finishing with a 38-44 record, and not making the playoffs. However, if the Hornets did win over 40 games AND make the playoffs in a tough Western Conference, Paul arguably could have become MVP. In just in his rookie year. Not even Oscar managed to do that. Paul's numbers arent the same as Oscar's just yet, but they will be. And I think so.What do you think, guys? Is the comparison fair or not?</div>I don't think it's fair to compare them. I did not see Oscar play, but from what I hear I would not compare a rookie to Oscar. But the few times I saw Chris Paul play he should be a great player. I don't think he will be a triple double kinda guy like Kidd he won't be getting rebounds like that. But he can average 20/10 next season. With last season #'s being: PPG 16.1 | APG 7.8 | SPG 2.2 That's only 4 points per game more, and like 2 assists per game more.
