Nah, I already considered this, that isn't it. I'm apathetic toward the NBA right now, but it doesn't feel like it's for any particular reason.

Its probably the whole "Super" team thing going on. Its made me kind of annoyed with the league as well. Once I start watching relevant hoops again, I'll get in the mood.

Nik. I haven't exactly been panicking at the idea of there not being NBA Basketball next month. Why? Because I'm exhausted. I put so much of my life, time, spirit, and energy into last season. So much of my heart went into rooting for the Blazers and hating the Lakers/LeBron. Watching my Blazers lose yet again in the playoffs in person at a cost of about $4,000 yet getting seeing Brandon Roy have that amazing game that reduced me to tears and then finally having the catharsis of watching the team that beat us shoot Kobe and LeBron in the chest was just mindblowlngly exhausting. I don't think I'm ready to start another season, 100% full throttle. Watching us lose got harder on me physically late in the year. If the lockout does end soon, I'll be happy for the people who's livelihood depends on the NBA but I don't know that I'll invest myself like I did last year. We'll see.. I don't know if I fully believe what I'm typing.

I'm not panicking about the season starting on time because the NBA regular season is too damn long. I wouldn't mind a 2012 start at all.

Sure. And I'm going to stop drinking and stop chasing women and eat healthy and finally finish writing that novel.

No change. The union was offering 54% before the lockout began.
