There are reports that a plane carrying Putin from Moscow to one of his secret residences disappeared from radar as rebel forces continue towards Moscow.
This will be followed by a call to the White House from a Russian General claiming the Russians now have cloaking technology...
Talk about reaping what you sow. Who knew that empowering a radical mercenary so that you can outsource your dirty work would eventually backfire. Wonder what China is thinking. This land-grab is resulting in a military insurrection. Hope this spills over into Belarus. Unlike the situation in Russia, where both sides are pieces of shit, in Belarus the opposition actual supports democracy and Ukraine, at least from what I've heard.
I’m going to have to go back and read one of Sly’s books he posted here explaining what is going on. Still not understanding why an army is called “Wagner”.
You know there are Russian officials scrambling for files on the USA and Trump so they can trade their way out of the country if Wagner actually reaches Moscow.
Prigozhin says his forces "are turning our columns around," amid claims of deal brokered by Lukashenko From CNN's Katharina Krebs and Nathan Hodge Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin published a new audio recording Saturday claiming he was turning his forces around from a march toward Moscow. “We turning our columns around and going back in the other direction toward our field camps, in accordance with the plan,” he said in a message on Telegram. The announcement comes as the Belarusian government claimed President Alexander Lukashenko had reached a deal with Wagner boss to halt the march of his forces on Moscow. "This morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin briefed his Belarusian counterpart on the situation in southern Russia with the private military company Wagner," the statement said. "The heads of state agreed on joint actions. "As a follow-up to the agreements, the President of Belarus, having being additionally informed on the situation through his own channels, and in agreement with the President of Russia, held talks with the head of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin," the statement continued. "Yevgeny Prigozhin accepted the proposal of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to stop the movement of armed persons of the Wagner company on the territory of Russia and take further steps to de-escalate tensions." CNN has reached to Prigozhin's office for comment. https://www.cnn.com/europe/live-news/russia-ukraine-war-news-06-24-23/index.html
As I am sure everyone else, I will not lose any sleep if something happens to Putin. Question is though: Is the guy to replace him that much better?
Let's just hope that at the end of all of this someone worse than Putin does not take control of Russia. Good question - no question that Putin just got bitch slapped by Prigozhin. Question is, what concessions did Putin agree to in order to halt the advance into Moscow?
Very disappointing. Surprised that he would trust any guarantees of safety. Will most likely be assassinated within the next 90 days.
From everything I've seen and read there isn't a guy to replace him. Anybody close to capable has been eliminated. When Putin loses power it will split Russia up among warlords like this Wagner group and other similar but opposing interests.
Oh yeah, he's as good as dead. They must have something more than money on him. Must have gotten to his family or something.
I'm conflicted because having these guys overthrow the Russian government isn't really a win either. I'm terrified of nukes falling into the wrong hands.
