1 vs 5? This is the most over used and worthless description. How does a player going iso create a 1 on 5 situation? That insinuates that 4 players would be wide open and 5 players are guarding the iso player. It's actually isolating into a 1 v 1 situation as the team will typically spread the floor pulling their defender out with them) and allowing space for the player to take his man 1 on 1. It also allows the iso player to pass to an open man if a defender comes to help. It's not a play to use all of the time but it can be an effective tool for the right player.
I was a huge Roy fan but your memory is a bit clouded. Here's a comparison between the two at the age of 25 and when Roy was still healthy. CJ is a better shooter than Roy especially at the 3 point line as well as better handles and all the other numbers aren't all that far off. https://www.basketball-reference.co...llum&y2=2017&player_id2=mccolcj01&idx=players

This week, Damian was interviewsi at the boys and girls club. It was interesting to hear Damian and CJ converse and slip in and out of his public speaking voice.
