It turns out that Ant is better as a reserve, this is obvious. He has a better shooting percentage, three point shooting percentage, true shooting percentage, gets more points per minute played, gets more rebounds per minute played, gets a fraction of an assist less per minutes played when coming off of the bench. I'm obviously not interested in his game that was an outlier and was over a season ago, I'll take these recent numbers and make the common sense and obvious decision to have the better player in GTJ start and Ant come off the bench. Unless I'm looking for the continuity of having another guy starting next to Dame who is undersized for a SG, a bit of a ball hog, likes to pound the rock instead of taking wide open spot up threes and has no clue on defense.
Have we heard when it happened yet? He has played three game since, so that means it happened against the Nuggets. Bastards
He shouldn't be playing. Start GTJ. He isn't playing well and there's no reason to potentially hurt himself worse.
So 20 5 and 6 along with over 40% from 3 is bad? Sure Trent plays much better d but other than scoring his numbers are no where close.to McCollum. Second is, you aren't a doctor and have no idea if it is anything that can get worse and likely it is up to the player if any pain can be managed. He had a bad game. That happens but he also had a very good game and helped carry us on a night Lillard struggled just a couple games ago and after when he hurt his back. We will need McCollum if we make the playoffs
i tend to agree. For those saying gt3 doesn't score like mccullom, He also Isnt our second option. Put trent in cjs role and he may very well put up the same offensive numbers. I think brooklyn is the perfect opportunity to test this.
If CJ can't play it just means Trent and Mario will split the time...both are better defenders than CJ and Melo and Gary will shoot CJs shots more than likely
You do realize this is a completely different medical staff in the 1 that was here during the Brandon Roy area right?
It's basically only one source and that's Dwight Jaynes. Seems all the other sources are only repeating what Jaynes is saying.
I saw an ESPN article that mentioned the NBCSNW report on the injury and said that ESPN had separately verified it with the team.
That's fine as I had just seen several links that alluded to Dwight Jaynes. That video above was pretty good explaining it and why it isn't the issue that some are making it out to be. People get freaked out with the word broken but I remember my son's sophomore year in high school he played along side a senior that had a fracture in his foot and never missed a game and then went straight into basketball and never missed a game. Seems several posters are prematurely written McCollum off as the way I look at it, he just had one of those games that many players experience in their careers as I have seen some of the best have just as bad if not worse games. He had a big game a couple games before where he scored 29 points 4 rebounds and 8 assists while shooting over 50% from the field and over 46% from 3 and that was after he had hurt his back. We will need McCollum going forward despite what the haters continue to say about him.
