I'm curious what the timetable is like.... he's clear for full practice. Maybe another week?

Dunno. He knows the sets, he knows his role (I hope?), and "getting into game shape" seems less important if you're playing <10 mpg vs. say, K*be trying to get back to being a 35mpg player.

    MIA?

Plus, Kobe was trying to play point. We just need CJ to come in and score, score, score.

Well we might of just answered our question about where his minutes are coming from. Mo goes down and CJ gets healthy. Throw the kid to the fire, I personallly think he can handle it and its only going to speed up the process. I think we will be pleasently surprised with how quickly he can contribute. Im very very high on the kid. Broy and dame were four year guys and high on the draftboard and look how they turned out. Having Dame mentor him through the beginning and having those two grow together as our future backcourt is going to amazing. I know its early but I dont think a zeke joe comparison is going to be too far off! So pumped!

I'm thinking more about next year.
Mo opts out of his tiny contract and signs somewhere else.
CJ takes over for Mo next year.

So, this year is for learning the offensive and defensive sets.

Can't wait to see CJ in action. Smart kid who understands the game. We know he can score. People want to label him a combo guard who can't run an offense, but we haven't seen him play with decent surrounding cast in college or summer league. We heard how Dame only averaged 4 assists at WS ad nauseam. That turned out ok. Not worried about minutes or rotation. How he performs and the health of our backcourt will determine that. Starters are playing heavy minutes right now. There's room for CJ.

We most likely will lose Mo this summer. I doubt we use any of the MLE on him. This was why I thought he would work in a trade. I would like to grab a player that has Bird Rights.

Unless we trade Mo it will be Mo's decision whether or not he stays. He has a Player Option.

I'm just saying that most likely he will opt out to get more money. We won't have his bird rights, so we won't be able afford him.

I'm excited about McCollum but I'm afraid he's fragile. He missed a lot of time in college as well. A good spark off the bench is going to be huge going forward though.
