That trade is horrible for us. Lets overpay for an overpaid C.

That trade is one of the few I've seen that actually manages to be horrible for both teams. The Clippers are looking to contend right now and they need a center who is more experienced than Leonard. The Blazers, OTOH, are giving up a decent SG who can actually play defense that they need right now and giving up on Leonard's potential way to early, IMO. Double stinker on this one.

Yes, I would go a bit farther and say odds are high one of Wes, Nic, Wright, Mo, Dam misses extended time with an injury. It would be very rare to have all 6 of those players healthy for the majority of the season. For the first 10 games of the year I expect CJ to get very few minutes, but at some point after that he will have an opportunity to earn a much larger role.

Yeah I've always thought this as well. Batum would be much better as a sixth man than Wes. Basically anybody on the roster would have more advantages as a 6th man than Wes. He is the perfect complementary starter to play with other talents.

Love the fact that his peers expect big things from CJ . . . because based just on summer league, CJ does not look like a ROY candidate to me.

I was a little underwhelmed too. But I remain optimistic based on others' optimism about him. Just call me "Positive Patty". ;)

I skimmed this thread and I saw some people want CJ as our starting 2. I just think that backcourt would be waaaaay too small.

I found him to be very ordinary in SL. He will have a normal confused rookie year. He is no Lillard.
