Meh. Is that the adjective you want to use to describe it though? It was solid but not Allen Iverson sick.
Your not blind, it's just a different kinda crossover. CJ's is more methodical..... lulls the defender, then blast by them. Timmy would in full speed fast break mode, just blast by them. Way faster crossover, but with the same result. And how did I forget about A.I.'s crossover. he blitzed guys for years!
People forget how cold KJ was. He would've been a MUCH bigger star if he played in NY or LA. From 88'-89' to the 91'-92' season he averaged a double double.
Yes, Hardaway's crossover was sick and nasty. But I have to agree with B-Caravan: CJ has a much more varied arsenal of breaking down a defender. Guys are on skates trying to stay in front of him. Perhaps a person's childhood idolization can be as blinding as team allegiance.
He had one where it was just a quick between the legs burst. And he was so quick that you had to make a decision as a defender. Do I sit on his right hand (because if I don't he'll just blow right by me) or, do I guard his crossover because he'll blow by me on the left. He was quick as a hiccup and was a little guy who SMASHED in bif men. People like to talk about the Olajuwon dunk but it was the one on Hot Rod Williams that was my favorite. Is that quick crossover behind his back??
Bro, how old are you? I'm not trying to be condescending, It's a question to find out if you ever watched this cat. Look what he does to Jordan AND Pippen. He was WAY quicker and stronger than CJ. Here, you're welcome:
Lol. Hell I don't know that's why I asked the question. I'm 40. I don't know half of the people's ages in here.
Haha. I don't disagree with any of that. It's like the BRoy comparison: Roy was so much stronger. The only thing I was referencing was the crossover. Tim had that crazy quick crossover; CJ's crossover arsenal is more varied. IMO. Probably out of necessity.
Ahhh Tim Hardaway, I loved Run TMC so friggin much. That Run and Gun style was just so fun to watch. I almost felt guilty watching them so much as a Blazer fan. Now, of course, fuck Golden State!
