Lmao. If it was up to you, we'd field a team that wouldn't be able to contend in the G-League

    Briscoe, Napier, Gillis, Robinson, Oden

    I don't understand the logic...

Turner is the best ball handler outside of Dame and CJ.. If anyone's game is fit to be a SF, it's Comnaughton, but he's too small.

No, if it was up to me we'd still have a reliable backup PG. and Warren Gillis BTW is also a PG. T-Rob I wouldn't even want starting but could give us great firepower of the bench and inside play and who else is on the team, a healthy Oden? He'd be an all=star.
I'm not saying Briscoe is as good as Dame or CJ, but a team has to have all sorts of players and he was supposed to have an important role as backup guard.
Turner to answer your response would be exactly a below average ball handler for a SG like I think can be understood from your argument as well and playing him at guard is wasting his talent and setting him up to fail. Exactly why he and Crabbe had awful plus-minus numbers last year

Meh. EVERY player knows the punishment for the crime though. It's like if you knew 100% of the time....unless if course you're Lebron, you would get shot for jaywalking, you wouldn't do it.

Academy, or whatever sporting goods store you know, has know knowledge of my intent when I buy a gun. The NBA is just saying "you can't buy a gun....PERIOD. If you do, there will be a harsh penalty.

You want a reliable backup PG but advocate us to pick up the must unreliable guys.
You were advocating us to get Oden in 2014..
How did him playing SG make him miss easy shots, which he still got? You didn't answer my question. Are all those players not SGs either??

His "inside play" results in a 47FG% on all 2pointers with twice as many turnovers as assists.

An offense with a 94ORTG and twice as many turnovers as assists would be historically bad... And that's the level that Robinson produces at. So what are you talking about with "firepower inside"?

Take the position out of the equation.
Who on the team has the best handles top to bottom? I'd list them like this:

    CJ(6'3)
    Dame(6'3)
    ET(6'7)

    (big drop off)

    Napier(6'1)
    Connaughton(6'5)
    Layman(6'9)

    (Big Drop OFF)

    Harkless
    Nurk
    Swannigan
    Aminu
    Collins
    Leonard
    Davis

I'm not saying ET should start. I'm saying ET should run the Point more often than not when he is in. Evan Turner is not a starter, but he can become one hell of a 6th man if given consistency and stability with both what is expected of him and the minutes he plays.
His height and length changes our perimeter defense.

I would start Connaughton at SG and I still think thats as good as briscoe. We have plenty pof role players that arent stars. ANother isnt going to change this team. Its only going to take the roster spot that is open to get someone that WILL change this team.
And that's it in a nutshell.
NO has made alot of smaller aquisitions and built some depth. We dont need anymore of it. We need to consolidate for one more star.... and that's ONLY if we don't have one of our guys break out this year in ET, Hark, Swannigan, etc. If any one of these guys has a solid year and the others don't take a dive, we are closer than we think.
But I think the one thing you are forgetting is the cap situation. We have to consolidate in some way to get back under. In filling that spot now, tosses some handcuffs on NO for being able to operate towards the trade deadline. We don't need to spend money on another end of the bench player and that's what it comes down to.

    T.Rob, Firepower?
He cant hit 60% FT shooting!!!!
He shots like 31-32% career 3pt%.

What firepower? He is a hustler and that gets him rebounds and once in a while put backs, but his per 36 only has him a career average of 10-11 ppg.

We have this in Swannigan, Davis, Shit. Ill even give that to Leonard.

What you continue to push or sell are lateral moves that don't make the team better. When there is minimal upgrade, then to make such a trade or acquisition is only a potential chemistry issue, both in personalities and minutes on the court.
So again. Whyu7 bring that potential drama for a lateral move?

There is a reason the guys you want on the team.. have not found a home on any team.

Love this. Let's petition the refs not to call CJ for traveling since he doesn't do it often. I mean he didn't intend to travel?

I tend to agree. CJ seems to feel like he should be given some slack because he doesn’t have a history of fighting. I don’t think the league can get into trying to judge intent. Maybe there should be a lighter penalty for a first time infraction if there’s no violence, but the league would have to change its policy. George could have been nailed for coming onto the court even a couple of steps, but they let it slide. CJ didn’t give them an opportunity for leniency because he came out too far.

But still, a rule is a rule. They showed leniency for Paul George. I am ok with the suspension, because it is the rule. I'm not ok with the rule being interpreted differently for different players/situations. CJ does have a bit of a case here.

That was my whole point in the first place. Superstar players will get the exception. Players like CJ wont. Stupid that MM tries to tell me otherwise. Stars in the league have gotten exception in EVERY situation it seems

Not even if Olshey uses that 15th roster spot to sign Thomas Robinson?
