But he IS helping to incite the violence. Did your “sources” inform you that the protests had pretty much petered out months ago?? And as soon as that happened, that Trump sent in his goon squads to pour gas on the coals, purely for political purposes??? Of course not. It doesn’t fit your (or apparently your sources) narrative. But it is on Trump and no one else. Wheeler may be a pussy, but at least he’s standing up to your bullyboy and calling him out on the national stage. The Republicans must own stock in Chapstick for all knob jobbing they’re doing on Trump. Perhaps you should buy shares....
One side showed up with signs and started destroying property including local businesses. Started being violent on any who disagreed with them. This happened first. On the day of.... Lets not revision history here.
You're all over the place with this discussion. You seem to be implying (as it fits your narrative) that people who are against Trump have to be in favor of Wheeler.
So, what you're really saying is, Wheeler is absolved of any and all responsibility in all of this. https://www.wweek.com/news/2020/07/...-gassed-amid-a-skeptical-crowd-of-protesters/
So glad Wheeler is all over this... https://www.kptv.com/news/after-mon...cle_3cf5bdce-dc5a-11ea-98e0-af318ea28d34.html
We all make statements, though, all the time. Generally, it's from information we have at hand. My family (not all on the right) see what Wheeler has been doing on an every day basis....since 2017. They've had enough of the guy. In their "opinion" he's bad at what he does. Really bad.
Remind who responded to UCD with this? ---->Well, so happy you agree with all Wheeler is doing out there, then.<---- Then UCD responded with this Which basically shows how you implied something that wasn't the case (UCD did not make his declarations about Wheeler in this post, or the other one you responded to). To which you said Which is 100% what confirmation bias is. And then you followed up with this gem. which included a link that kind of was related to something that happened, but in no way indicates UCD (or anyone here) has said "Wheeler is absolved of any and all responsibility in all of this" (which is ironic since Trump himself has basically said he doesn't hold himself responsible for anything). It's like trying to follow an argument after it's been run through a language translator half a dozen times. As I said the other day, I have to commend you for sticking to the script. As much as that script is easily predictable, uninformed and full of holes, you'r still sticking to it.
con·fir·ma·tion bi·as noun noun: confirmation bias the tendency to interpret new evidence as confirmation of one's existing beliefs or theories. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias
I would love to see these trump supporters on here sit down with their kids/grandchildren and simply read a book of his tweets as a bedtime story. You know that’s going to be an SNL skit someday.
Nice try. No, what I’m “really saying” that the continuing unrest is on Trump. He has made absolutely NO effort to be a leader and uniter. That ain’t gonna get him elected. If you want to place “responsibility” on anyone, place it where it really belongs; on the police for refusing to police themselves and on the politicians who have refused to hold the police accountable. Trump cut Wheeler off at the knees when he sent in his secret police. By doing that he tacitly condoned police brutality. Wheeler was doing well enough that the protests were pretty much just that, protests. Trump elevated it to a whole different level. I’m sorry if you can’t deal with facts. But that’s YOUR problem, not mine. You just want to argue for the sake of argument. Pro tip, bring facts, not feelings to your arguments......
I made a post about Ted Wheeler. But, like happens so many times in here, it all gets twisted to somehow being Trump's fault. OK, yeah, true enough, I posted a link whereas Wheeler wants to blame Trump for EVERYTHING. So I guess all bets are off there. At any rate, the government pulled troops and assists out of Portland over a MONTH ago! Please tell me things have gotten better since then and that Wheeler has everything under control.
Now we can agree on something!! But current events have nothing to do with Wheeler being an abject failure. And you know the very best part of this argument??? Neither you nor I live in Portland!!!! But I DO live in very close proximity and visit several times weekly. Your vision/version of Portland is a Republican’s fever dream.....and just as accurate.....
