I’d like him to leave the City of Portland alone and forget it even exists. We are the enemy because we are a state he cannot win, no matter what. He is stoking the violence here in order to scare voters in other states because he has noting to lose but the election. Criminy, Trump plans to bulldoze his way into Wisconsin where he will only make a bonfire into a conflagration. The governor has told him to stay home! It isn’t just the people of Portland and Oregon who see the guy as dangerous. What makes you sooooooo obtuse?? He is stoking the flames of hatred to get reelected. The man is a virulent cancer on the soul of this country, and he needs to be excised.

I do know that there's plenty of (local and national) Democratic leadership out there that hates Trump just as much, or more, than yourself. So, there's always that to contend with. Not certain how all that gets ironed out.....if ever.
He will play the Left Coast card in WI as the left coast has been the brunt of many jokes over the years. I know I basically lived there for 17 years and had to put up with it. Die hard union workers that ride Harleys and hang American flags from the manufacturing plant rafters throughout the state. If you were from Seattle, Portland SF, LA or SD they flat out looked at you differently.
To be absolutely fair, most of the coasts do not think too highly of the flyover country either. It is only normal for humans to try to put down the 'not from here' - in any place. It is a shame that the president of the entire union is trying to divide the states within it tho.

The thing is I never have heard anyone from the west criticize the mid west, especially as a sport. Maybe it has to do with meat and potato people and the mid west is full of them.
