Injury ReportDonyell Marshall wont be playing tonight.I sure hope Mike put S.Brown on the Active list. I want to see the rookie play.
It's really early, 8-2, but the Cavaliers are looking tired/lasy. They are making bad passes that Jefferson is picking off, settling for jumpers, they didn't hustle back after a shot and got beat in transition. They let West just parade through lane, nobody even tried to step up and stop him. If they keep playing like this, it could be a long night for the Cavaliers.
we're holding up a lot better than I thought we would. TA's doing a great job against LeBron. keep it up.
Cavs need to pick it up.Boston is doing a good job on James, lucky Z was getting hot.But yeah, players do good hit the bench, right Mike Brown?

TA's doing a great job against LeBron. keep it up.
TA has done a very good job on Lebron James, but he has had some help. Every time Lebron gets the ball they are having a helper to guard Lebron, especially when he gets it over near the baseline on his right hand. They keep trying to trap him on the sideline from what I am watching, it has really worked so far and has been a good game plan from a defensive stand point. Green is playing very well tonight, just awesome, 6/9 for 14 points so far. Had a very nice setup for Perk earlier, if he could take the ball up faster a good two or three people would have some more assists.

Cavaliers are playing lazy out there.
Excellent first half for the Celtics. We are doing great with the pick and roll, and both Delonte and Bassy are moving the ball very well. Big Al had another great first half (first quarter, especially), and he's on his way to another double-double. TA brought a lot of energy and disrupted LeBron in that first quarter. How about Gerald Green, folks? That's my guy, right there. He always has been, and he always will be. The kid is a super scorer, and he's going to be an excellent player in the future. He had an excellent first half. 14 points on 6-9 shooting in what? 8 or 9 minutes? Excellent. But we all know he can shoot, the thing I liked to most was how well he was moving without the ball. He was always in the right spots, and he took 3 great shots right off the screens. Keep it up Gerald! Oh, and that alley-oop was awesome. Gerald almost hit his nose on the rim.

Cavaliers are playing lazy out there.
The refs seem in your corner if anything. Al and Perk have gotten hacked a few times down low that wasn't called. The free throw attempts should prove how much they are helping you guys out, 20 cavalier attempts(only two by Lebron James), and 5 Celtics attempts.
Got a call to go the Cavaliers way there with that 3 missed by James. It seems that ever time they come back, the Refs seem to bail out Boston a lot...I guess it is just me, I know it's crazy to say anything about the refs and all that trash. But so far the Cavs have gotten no love from the refs this year...
That was the luckiest shot that I have seen in a long time. Amazing none the less..... But cavsfan, are u saying that the cavs are getting no love tonight? They have shotten almost 3 times as many free throws as the celtics. Aside from that, Gerald and TA are both playing great. TA is slashing to the hole, not turning the ball over, AND make perimeter jump shots. Gerald, although making some dumb fouls, is getting to the basket, and his 3 ball is falling as well. I love watching these 2 play. On the other hand, Wally is a liability right now. He is forcing shots, and he is so damn slow getting down the court. I say leave TA and Green in...
Thank god, Green is getting to come back into the game. Take Wally out, you are right he is just way to slow out there. edit: This announcer really hates Damon Jones for some reason.
Cavaliers are getting some FT love but thats because we are driving to the hole finally.I think the shot was amazing, lucky, you could say that. But I loved it.
Gosh I hate Wally! Did he not see that Gerald was WIDE open to the left of him when 3 different guys were in his face? Wally's shot is completley off right now, but he shoots the ball anyways.....it is flat out annoying. You couldnt have asked for a better game by Gerald Green. He shot a great percentage from the field, he attacked the rim, he got offensive boards, he got to the free throw line, and his defense wasnt bad either. TA and Big Al played very well also. I hate it that Rondo isn't playing right now. I dont think that Telfair or Delonte are playing esspecially great, so I dont understand why Doc doesn't change it up a bit. Delonte isn't making mistakes or anything, but he isnt really scoring the rock either.
sh*t. and to think if lebron's 85 footer didn't go in we'd be in overtime right as usual lat now. wally really would miss that last shot.tony allen p[layed great as usual lately. great defense, efficient scoring, aggressive play. I'm proud of him.Big Al also played great. I would have liked him to have played bigger at the end of the game, but you can't complain about 18 and 12.Gerald had a great great scoring game. that floater over lebron must've worked wonders for his confidence.overall, I'm pretty pleased.
Wow, what a game and that 83 footer won the game for the Cavaliers.Nice game Boston, ever one thought it would be a blow out but your men stood tough and almost got them selfs a win.
Wow. Just f*cking wow. DOC!!!!!!!! NO TIMEOUT ON THAT LAST POSSESSION?!?!?!? WTF ARE YOU THINKING!??!?!? Gerald Green definitely should have played more as well, jesus. Wally was sucking as usual, and Gerald had it going all night. Stupid. I'm pissed. Rick Bucher better be right, because I am sick of having this f*cking clown on the sidelines in Boston. Gerald had the hot hand all night long and made great hustle plays, yet he only plays 19 minutes? And WALLY... who shot horribly and played terrible defense... plays 29? Doc, suck a fat one. Gerald Green 21 points, 2 rebounds on 8-13 shooting, 2-5 3FG, 3-4 FT in 19 minutes Doc, F*ck you for not playing him more when he had IT GOING ON! Gerald was awesome tonight. He took it to LeBron offensively, he didn't do that bad of a job on him defensively, he made a ton of great hustle plays, one great pass to Perk, and he brought a ton of energy. He really made a super clutch play as well, when he took it to LeBron 1 on 1, took him all the way to the basket and finger rolled it right in. Gerald was awesome tonight, and Doc is an idiot for only playing him 19 minutes on a night like this. I'll be very mad if Doc doesn't start him on Friday. Tony Allen 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 assists on 8-13 shooting, 5-6 FT TA played great, once again. He pressured LeBron and played very solid defense on him, he brought a ton of energy, he took it to the basket, hit some jumpers, and he made some nice passes. He did it all, once again. TA for president. Al Jefferson 18 points, 12 rebounds on 8-12 shooting Big Al had a masterful first quarter, and he played pretty well overall, but he had a REAL tough time defending Ilgauskas (as expected, due to the massive size difference). The team should have made a better effort to get him the ball in the fourth quarter, IMO, but Big Al played pretty well tonight. Delonte West 10 points, 8 assists, 2 steals on 4-9 shooting Delonte played really well tonight. He was great with distributing the ball in pick and roll situations, he did a great job with help-side defense, he hustled, he knocked down some jumpers, and he played smart. He only turned the ball over once, and I couldn't even tell you what kind of turnover it was. Great job tonight by Delonte. Sebastian Telfair 10 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal on 4-8 shooting Bassy played well tonight. Everyone will rave over Green and Allen tonight, but Bassy ran the second unit very well. He set up the offense nicely, he showed a lot of heart, and most importantly... he was aggressive offensively!!! That's what I have been looking for. He was aggressive and he didn't pass up good shots. Good game from Bassy. Ryan Gomes 6 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block on 3-7 shooting Gomes played alright. He wasn't overly aggressive like he was in Portland on Monday, but he played a solid game. He knocked down a couple jumpers when we made that run in the 3rd quarter. I would have liked to see him be a little more aggressive, like he was on Monday, but he did a solid job tonight. Wally Szczerbiak 13 points, 5 rebounds on 4-13 shooting, 1-5 3FG, 4-4 FT There is no reason whatsoever why he played more than Gerald (and 10 more minutes!). Wally stunk it up, again. He has been shooting poorly and inconsistently this season, and I'm sick of it. Wally is only good for one thing: shooting. But when he's not shooting well at all, why play him so much? And over Gerald, who played EXCELLENT basketball tonight. Kendrick Perkins 4 points, 4 rebounds on 1-4 shooting in 14 minutes Perk did a solid job tonight, not great. He played limited minutes again, like he should (due to recovering from his plantar fasciitis), but he did alright. He helped down low with Big Z when he was in there, but Perk obviously isn't the same as he usually is. Rajon Rondo 1 rebound, 1 assist, 0-1 shooting in 7 minutes If there is a night where Rajon Rondo shouldn't have played all that much, it would be tonight. Both Delonte and Bassy played very well, so there really weren't many minutes available for Rajon tonight. He brought energy in the little time he was in there, though. Michael Olowokandi 1 rebound, 1 block in 4 minutes Only 4 minutes, but O did a real good job. He was active down low. I'm surprised he didn't get a couple extra minutes over Scal, who did not play well tonight at all. Brian Scalabrine 2 turnovers, 0-1 shooting, 13 minutes Scal got lost a few times off switches and he did nothing offensively. Nothing to really talk about. Oh, and that #23 was awesome tonight (as was Big Z). Next Game Friday (1/5/07) @ Memphis at 8:00 pm ET.
