    If they change their name, it will be to the California Condors. Balmer wants to grow the brand outside of LA, where they will always be competing with the Lakers for "fans". Look at the Warriors. They aren't the Oakland Warriors, the San Francisco Warriors, or even the Bay Area Warriors, they are the fucking Golden State Warriors. They have always had a very dedicated and loyal local following, but now that they are actually good, you see people all over the state, who previously wore Laker jerseys now wearing Warriors gear.

    And then there's the hideously designed mascot, Chuck the Condor. Mark my words, if there is a name change coming, it wont have anything to do with boats, it will be the California Condors.
