I think you need to sit in the corner and think about what you've done. Next time you won't get off so easy.

I really doubt the team stands pat.

    - They're likely not going to have nearly as much money to play with this off season. And while they're in control of who they could add to this team through RLEC now, they're not in control of who will be available through free agency.

    - We've seen enough from Sergio and Jerryd to have made a decision as to which player fits our future best. Sergio's and Jerryd's trade value probably won't reach much higher than they are today.

    - As much as we all love Batum, he's likely not prepared for the Playoffs and Webster, at this point, can't be relied on.

A cool way of saying "Seize the day" would be Carpe Diem I believe. Its a cool slogan, imo.

On that note, do you remember when the Hawks traded Dominique Wilkins to the Clippers even though they were leading the division. With Danny Manning, the Hawks went on to get the #1 seed but lost to the Pacers in the second round.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Just a random thought, but (if Allen were okay with it, as a possible way to make the team better), what if Portland re-signed LaFrentz, using his Bird rights, to a one-year deal at the highest amount they could pay him (assuming they had no realistic free agent target this off-season)? Then, they'd have an awfully valuable expiring contract to deal ahead of the 2010 off-season, and extend the length of time they have to make a deal to use his bubble of cap space (and it would be an even larger bubble after the re-signing).

Of course, it's easy for me to spend Allen's money. ;)
