    :roll: no hate at all...60 wins with these group of players is no surprise..nelson just lets the mavs play and shoot ...he is a players coach he doesn't even seem to coach that much..he just lets them play the way they want

    so no i don't count nelson deserving it...nash,dirk,van exel,finley e.t.c..it isn't hard to win games with those group of players

    Yes they are...he lets them play and shoot and gives them the green light...i would pick sloan before picking nelson for coach of the year

    a lot of teams have talent, but you still need the right coach to find the right rotations and to keep everyone's ego in check.

    but htats how u view it than phil jackson shouldnt ever have won the award either. he had no excuse not to do what he did and when michael jordan was gone he couldnt do it til he came back

    Mavs don't have those problems...they don't have attuide problems they all fit in and shoot the ball well. Popovich got 60+ wins with only 1 superstar and a bunch of good role players....thats why he is getting the award.While mavs have like 5 allstars...

    let's not fool ourselves and think no one on the mavs doesn't have an attitude problem. nick van exel has had a history of bad attitude. most players in the nba have an ego, especially players who like to shoot a lot. however nelson has found a way to get everyone their fair amount of shots and he also has his team playing well on defense as a team. a good coach knows how to build get the most out of his players and i think nelson has finally shown that this year. the mavs were #1 in the West for almost the entire season and if they didn't lose finley and suffer some other injuries i think they would have won the West.

    yea....people say that with all that talent they have no excuse for not winning so much, but its not like phil jackson where u have one or two guys who let go in their and do all the work. nelson has a LOT of shooters and personalitlies to negotiate and he couldnt have done a much better job.
