I don’t hate the possibility of Kelvin Sampson for Orlando. I think they could do much worse and I think the players would like him. Has some NBA assistant experience and tons of HC experience of course.

I stupidly had this tiny hope that somehow he wasn't hired yet because there were secret negotiations going on with the Blazers. Now I can only hope that some of BNM's ideas on new assistant coaches come to fruition. Just getting a big man coach would show me that at least somebody in the organization is paying attention.

I’m not surprised Bud went to Bucks. With an elite young talent like Giannis you might give it a try to build around him for the next few years and see how it goes. In Toronto you kind of see what the ceiling of that team is and it’s not good enough but you won’t have any cap space or assets to make serious moves for another two years.

Blazers will hire Casey as an assistant if Orlando or Detroit doesnt get him first. I'd take Vogel too.

And Bob Thornton as a big man coach. He's being wasted in SAC (who isn't?).

So, Detroit and Orlando are the only two head coaching positions still vacant. I am sure one will go to Casey....the other to an assistant somewhere. Wait, Vogel. Vogel to Detroit, Casey to Orlando. I see Casey fitting better with Detroit though.

I am not so sure Milwaukee has that much of a higher ceiling than Toronto. Yes Giannis is a young exciting player, but much like DeRosan his outside shooting in clutch situations needs to improve. And one could argue that Toronto has much better surrounding young talent. (Trade or develop) Certainly better shooters.

We should hire Vogel as our defensive coordinator.

I kind of want to see a big man coach, I don’t know if they have one (it doesn’t look like it) heh, but someone to work with Zach and Nurk and get the most out of them would be huge.
