What are the best coaching options if Stotts were to be fired? Do you think a guy like Vanterpool is ready? Or do we need a more polished and experienced coach? David Blatt? Mark Few? Ettore Messina? El Presidente?
If it means we receive an upgrade replacement for Tater Totts - then lets go with the real thing. I nominate a Potato.
I don't think Coach Stotts is going anywhere, but Coach Vanterpool might. I don't know anything, but he is a great young up and coming coach in this league. Very respected at every stop. Wouldn't be surprised if he is a head coach soon.
I think he interviewed with Philly a couple summers ago. Man, wherever we go, star players and other coaches come up to him and chat. Very respected.
David Blatt is an amazing basketball mind and I would be very happy with him as coach (even though it would bring us many Israeli fans which would make me cringe). The other coach I would want is Mark Jackson.
Well if I read correctly 90% of the forum thinks they could do a better job than Stotts. But then again, these are the same people who believe Utah's head coach is amazing. While Utah fan's, if you were to go look at their game threads hate their coach.
Didn't he get GS to 50+ wins? I don't know for certain, but if he did, I'll take that! GS fans were freaking out when they cut him loose and hired Steve Kerr.
While I don't think it happens, firing Stotts would be a sensitive subject. Players absolutely adore him. They love playing for him.
Or do they? That's what they SAY.....but it is quite clear that he is not a leader on the court, and that is what a basketball team NEEDS.
