Showtime games of the week (times are EST) #1 Texas at #7 Texas Tech (ABC: 8:00PM) #8 Florida at #6 Georgia (CBS: 3:30PM)
South Florida at Cincy tonight. The Bearcats have won the last two meetings between the two teams, and USF has lost 2 of their last 3 games this season. Nevertheless, I think the Bulls win this one.
Cincy up 7-0 early in the first after an interception by Mike Mickens. Bad decision by Grothe on that play. Cincy scored on a Goebel run.
Another bad decision by Grothe basically throwing into triple coverage deep down the middle of the field. Luckily, Cincy's DB didn't make the proper play on the ball and allowed the receiver to catch it. USF scores on an ensuing run by Plancher. Game tied at 7.
Marshawn Gilyard with a great catch downfield. Nice job stepping up in the pocket by Pike on that throw. Very impressive. USF getting drilled with penalties.
Cincy unable to convert on the third down in the red zone. They'll have to settle for a FG. Cincy now up 10-7.
And Goebel fumbles for Cincy as they neared the red zone. Two consecutive turnovers. Not good, to state the obvious. Pike has a really nice arm.
Cincy has had some tremendous catches tonight. Goodman just had a nice grab across the middle of the field, and Guidugli had an insane catch in the first half. Really a great game tonight.
Cincy wins 24-10 and effectively destroys what little hope remained for USF regarding a conference championship. Nice, gutsy game by Pike.
UGA just got screwed on that challenge. And then Harvin goes off on a huge run for UF on the following play.
Some earlier scores: West Virginia beat UCONN, 35-13. Wisconsin lost for Michigan State, 25-24. Wisconsin played not to lose that game down the stretch and it bit them in the butt. Northwestern beat Minnesota, 24-17. I tried watching some of the game, but it was just too boring (as is most B10 football). Miami beat Virginia, 24-17 in OT. Michigan lost to Purdue, 48-42. The downward spiral continues to RichRod as Michigan cannot have a winning season this year. Auburn lost yet again, 17-7 to Ole Miss. Kansas destroyed Kansas St. 52-21.
UGA with good field position on this drive with UF's kick off going out of bounds. They need to get Moreno going.
