He had a good showing in the Rose bowl - I think he deserves to move up. He's not going to have a great combine (IMO) - I don't think he has prototypical skills. But I do think he is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL.

If Lindale White falls in the 1st round, the Steelers would be lucky to grab him...hes could be the new "bus"....I suspect he goes somewhere in the top-15, but positional needs dictate....hes got top of the 1st round talent and his style is more consistent with the NFLs demands on a RB, so I wouldnt be shocked if he ran for 10k yards for someone and Bush didnt get close to that number....

What will be interesting is to see where Brian Calhoun of Wisconsin goes.

    I'd bet late 1st to mid 2nd.

I expect Calhoun to be a victim of the numbers game...I dont see him being any better than the 5th back off the board(Bush, White, Moroney, Williams) and that makes it unlikely that he would be a 1st rounder....i see him slipping into the spot that Arrington went last year, which was mid-2nd....

I really like LenDale White. Im begging the panthers to draft him. He is going to replace stephen davis. And the panthers are lacking the power back right now. Eric Shelton, last years 2nd rounder who got hurt isnt looking too good, he cant pass block and hasnt shown anything special. John Fox wants to control the clock and Lendale white would help that.

LenDale White or Lenord Pope are the guys i hope the panthers draft with their 1st round selection

White isn't going too slip too the Steelers or Panthers.. They'll need too trade up. There are a lot of people who believe White is the top back in the draft. I know the Packers like White a lot and rank him right up there with Reggie Bush.

Brain Caulhon is looking at a 2nd round pick at best. 5th or 6th back taken.. Maurice Drew who is about 5-9 200 is built for the NFL better than Caulhon who is about 6-0 195. I love Caulhon and wouldn't mind GB taking him in the 2nd round so he plays close to home but his size is going too hurt him.. I expect Caulhon and Drew to both be mid to late 2nd round picks..

I think Lindale is the kind of player that could slip in this draft becuase of competetion(so many highly rated backs) and beucase hes not flashy....its not out of the question that teams could rate Bush, Moroney and Williams ahead of White....its a stretch to think that a league that is already soaked with productive backs will pick that many in the top 20....there will be major value in this draft if you need a back after the top-20, because I think one of the top-4(maybe 2) will still be available and guys like Calhoun will fall because of the other backs....I also dont buy into the Texans drafting Bush....I think both QBs come off the board 1-2, then the backs start to slide....

The RB I see slipping is Maroney.. I could see him fallen to the Vikings at 17 or maybe even the Steelers or Panthers area.. Williams and Bush are the locks in my opinion for a top 15 pick Bush obviously top 5... White and Maroney need too have a good combine.. If White has a good combine I could see him going to the Packers, 49ers, or Cardinals.. Same with Maroney.. Some of these teams would be wise to trade down a few spots though if they plan on picking either of them.

Another thing to look out for is Shaun Alexander and Edge are both free agents.. Now Alexander is free to do as he pleases and I'm not sure what Indy has planned for Edge. If a team like Minnesota picks up Alexander then you could see Maroney into the 20's.. Also if Maurice Drew and/or Caulhon have solid workouts you could see Seattle or Indy take one of them in the late first.. A possible team like the Jets could stay put and draft D?Brickashaw Ferguson and then package some picks and get back in round 1 and take Maroney or White if they slip into the 20?s..

With all that said I don't see neither Edge or Alexander going anywhere. I think both are going to get their pay day but it's fun to throw that scenario out in the open.

Heres how i speculate it will shake down....Alexander takes a huge deal and signs with Dennis Green in Azrizona....the Seahawks respond by signing Ahman Green.....the Packers draft Williams to replace green....Bush falls to #3 and goes to the Titans....the Jets sign Edgerrin James who the Colts cant afford(and take Fergeson)....the Colts send a mid rounder to Miami for Ricky Williams, who they have under contract at the minimum and fits thier cap(then they tag Reggie Wayne)....Moroney and White fall a bit, but no farther than the bottom of the 1st round, both victim to the numbers game....Priest Holmes turns down deals elsewhere and retires a chief....will that all happen? no, but it does demonstrate how many talented backs are available and thats why i think backs will slide at the top of the draft....
