<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Steelerfan_2005)</div><div class='quotemain'>Pretty bold gaurantee regardless of the outcome. I mean, c'mon. Is there a such thing as a true lock in the NFL? Especially in the playoffs where the talent level is so high between both teams.</div>
Is there ever a lock? Absolutely not. But what else would I have done all day? [IMG]

Is Denver better than Pittsburgh? Their record would indicate that they are. Of course, if they lose this weekend, then I'll say that they are not - but I really don't think they will lose.

I simply think that Denver is a fairly resiliant team right now and has the balance needed to play a tough game. The Colt's were a team that was used to having their way with other teams (and had about 1 month off - plus a whole host of disasters), so when Pittsburgh flustered them in the first half they simply caved. Denver is used to adversity and won't let 'Blitzburgh' get to them.

On any given Sunday any team can win - I just think the Broncos have a better chance this weekend.

The home team should always have a better chance. Especially when you're a "mile" high. Big advantage. Pittsburgh's the better team here, but Denver gets the advantage at home.

How do you figure that Pittsburgh is the better team? (genuine curiosity here)

I'm picking the Steelers, but I was 0-4 last weekend. lol I feel confident that it will be a great game. It just sucks for me knowing that IMO the 2 better teams are sitting this AFC title game out. Anyway I heard some one say that Pitt's offense is better than the Pats & I couldn't help but laugh. However I will say they have a more balanced attack. I wasn't impressed with Denver, however their D was able to take advantage of our lack of a running threat & put Brady on his heels. They won't have that luxury against Pitt unless they get out to a big lead early. The Steelers D doesn't do as good a job against the run IMO, but if the offense gets up early they can get after Plummer. They can't allow Plummer time to improvise.

    Steelers 27
    Broncos 23

The NFC is hard to predict b/c of the injuries concerns for both RBs. I was impressed with Hasselbeck's performance w/o the league MVP. Their defense is very underrated. For the Panthers it's all about Steve Smith. Nobody has been able to stop him so far. What concerns me is their D. The Bears were able to generate more offense than expected.

    Panthers 20
    Seahawks 28

Denver isn't going to win guys, at home or not. If the Steelers can dominate the Colts, even with the officials on the Colts side, Mountain Man and the Broncos don't stand a chance. Denver only "earned" 3 points against us, we gave them the rest because of our mistakes.

Boy when I watched the game it looked like Champ Bailey really jump the route and made a football play and returned it 100 yards. Your telling me he didn't have anything to do with that?

high altitude...um ok...well Ben has more targets to work with in my opinion...Ward is good with possesion and El is just as fast as Rod Smith...Wilson is a good third option and Miller is amazing...Rod Smith can be shut down pretty easily...Lelie has been down right terrible...Putzier has bad hands because he tends to be paranoid because of the past hits he has endured...Plummer got off to a good start but has really slowed down lately...

I missed the Tampa vs. Washington game.... I picked Tampa to win by 1 point.

Now if the Steelers can win the Bowl, I can be 10-1.

Sad thing is that there's no money in it!
