Before I had Sharp on that video, I did tell him I didn’t think he’d make a big impact this season. Yeah right HA!!!!
Outstanding. Good luck to you and yours. Yes the coaches/recruiters can reach out midnight the last day of their sophomore year. A very exciting time.We had coaches reaching out to her club coaches planting seeds that they were interested. So we kinda’ had some clues on what to expect. Went into the process very blind to it. I was there the whole way, but as far as ZOOMs/phone calls/texts/emails, it was all on her. I would have her record the zooms and phone calls and I would go over with her how she could have answered things better or could of done differently. It’s an amazing amount of pressure for a freshly turned 16 year old to deal with coaches constantly on multiple platforms. Great learning experience for her AND my wife and I. Yes the men’s side have 9 scholarships and the women’s 14. Wish there were more. She was fortunate to have multiple offers and the ability to find the best fit for her. She has MANY teammates who now in their senior year have either had NO offers or very limited. So it’s tougher for them at this point. Hey it was cool MM created this thread, but it should be over in OT. Maybe they can merge this with the one we have going. I’d love to have you keep us/me updated on your son’s recruiting journey. Side note, my daughters league is called ECNL…. Elite Champions National League. First time I met Coach Billups I knew that his daughter played in my daughters same league in Colorado. I introduced myself as a fellow “ECNL DAD” and his eye lit up and wanted to talk about nothing but recruiting. Giving me all these pointers. it was hilarious. And first time he saw me this fall during media day, he came up and the very first thing her asked was had she signed yet. Quality dude! Good luck brother and keep sharing your son’s journey.
@crandc the area around the campus is simply amazing. She has had such a great time on her visits down there by herself and with us. The current players have shown her all the great shops and restaurants the players all go to.
Congrats to @THE HCP & family. Great kids reflect well on great parents - at least the one who was there to raise them, regardless of whomever here may want to take credit for her being their child. They just be jealous.
So you put a fire under Shaedon to prove your punk ass wrong. Thanks. And congratulations to Olivia, your Sainted wife, and lastly, you!
