Congrats On The Title Wade!!! But Kobe Is STILL the Best

For fun, here's a statistical comparison of Wade and Kobe during the regular season, only looking at Wade's stats when Shaq wasn't on the floor with him (using the Player Pairs page at 82games).

Based on the Game Score formula (a sort of PER approximation that doesn't take into account pace), per 40 minutes, Wade (without Shaq on the floow with him) actually appears to put up slightly better numbers than Kobe Bryant. Go figure.

Who the hell cares about the supporting cast when you are comparing 2 players skill levels? Please explain why Kobe is the better player not that Kobe led **** players to the playoffs, so therefore he is the best. Talk about their skills.

Alright, we've been hearing this come up a lot for the Laker fans; because even as weak a statment alone that happens to be as it suggests opinion-- it's still one of the only arguments you guys have in this situation.

Until yall produce some documentation displaying how Kobe's individual efforts on defense affects the production and effectivness of the opposing team MORE than does Dwyane Wade's individual effort this point is will remain moot.
You have no facts that say Kobe's a better defender, You have no facts that say he is a better passer, no facts saying he's a better rebounder, <font color=""Purple"">no facts saying he " has more personality",</font> even no facts that suggest he's more effective overall as a scorer, no facts that he's a better winner -------- and considering all this it's <u>hard to take seriously your arguments that he's even possibly the better player.</u>

And what does the "best player in the league" do in that situation that Wade didn't satisfy for you Chuck and those hating on him? What else did he need to do in that situation in your mind?

Well you know like I know that talent wise, Kobe's skill level is beyond anybody's. He has more range, he's a better on the ball defender, he's a better clutch player, and free throw shooter. Actually, ur supporting cast has alot to do with ur numbers. Shaq, Antione Walker, GP, Posey, and Jwill open up the floor for Wade to penetrate. That has alot to do with him being able to get to the rim. Common basketball knowledge. If you have a team with mostly scrubs, other teams will suffocate ur star players. Which is why it's even more amazing somebody could put up 35pts a night with a team with no allstars.

 

these threads need to be closed for like 2-3 months. this is getting annoying, there are seriously like 5-10 of these threads out saying that wade isnt all that. people need to just chill for a while and enjoy the heats championship run

^This coming from the guy that thought the Rockets would win the ship, and were better than Detroit, SA, etc, etc. You have no credibility in my mind. Is Wade better than Kobe? Maybe, maybe not. But it definitely is debateable, and in my mind and many others' minds, he is the best there is.
