Doctor said pretty much keep doing what I am doing. Called in a prescription for a better cough syrup but I have to get someone to get it for me. It's 7 days isolation, no longer 2 weeks.
My doc is on maternity leave so I got someone else.

I haven't visited this thread in awhile and just saw that you're battling Covid. I'm glad to hear that you're doing okay with it. Kick its ass.

Welcome to for profit healthcare where the more desperate for care people are the greater the profits.

So they staff to be at full capacity at all times (leaving them woefully understaffed during flu season) and artificially restrict the education pipeline of nurses and doctors.

Are there a lot of medical personnel who want a seasonal job?
I'm not sure how a hospital would go about having a larger staff during flu season.

You have a larger staff year round and don't get to buy as many yachts, or do as much hookers and blow.

Unfortunately that would be devastating for political contributions, so we don't have a political party in this country willing to seriously push for that.

That heating pad to help ease chest congestion? Lucia taking a nap on it.

    Her lungs will be clear.

The cough is brutal. Up half the night. Pills doctor gave me don't seem to help. Would love some good old fashioned codeine. Nasty but effective.

Last night got out of bed, steeped ginger root in boiling water, added a slug of honey and squeeze of lemon. Breathed the steam until it was cool enough to sip. Lucia and I fell asleep on the couch.

This is why she's the best cat in the world. Came to bed with me as usual but when I had to get up she did too and stayed with me until we both slept.

Just got it myself yesterday. I can attest to the cough. My wife is picking up a prescription for the cough. Drinking a lot of apple cider with honey.

I've have been isolating in my room since last night. I have to stay in here for five days accept to use the bathroom. Luckily, my wife is bringing me meals and other things I need and leaving them at the door.

    I hope you feel better.

Might try some of that ginger root. That's good for this chest crap?
