lol...sounds like you're upset and running out of ammo again. (blanks actually)

Sounds like it's about time for you to run disappear for a week or so again, and claim you had to tend to "philanthropic" duties. ...funny stuff.

Sick people for a variety of reasons do not stay home when they are sick. That's why cold and flu spread through schools and office spaces.

And a symptomatic vaccinated person is just as contagious as an unvaccinated one. So what point are we trying to arrive at? Do the unvaccinated mingle more while sick than the vaccinated? Has that been studied?

I'm not sure if that is accurate.

A person with acquired immunity will have an immunological response. Meaning the body will start producing the antibodies to fight the infection. I know that isn't instantaneous, but what I don't know is if by the time a person is showing symptoms the body has started producing antibodies or if that is a universal fact for all people or do people because of age or other health problems have a delayed immunological response after becoming symptomatic.

How consequential do you think that would be? Enough to warrant the hatred toward the unvaccinated by assuming they spread more by some small degree? Is it enough to blame them for the pandemic? Did they tip the scales that much or is it even measurable?

It depends on the actions, employment positions, and motivations of the unvaccinated.

A health professional in a "front line" position working with the sick and injured who does not believe in vaccines and masking protocols should be removed from those positions, IMO.

Also, what does this hate look like? People aren't being denied medical treatment because they aren't vaccinated, yes, many medical professionals HATE the unvaccinated because they see firsthand the pain and loss it causes to them and their families. I paid my way through college working in a hospital. Seeing someone die is horrible. Seeing someone die from something that is preventable is horrific. But seeing the horror in front of you doesn't mean you don't try. It means you try harder. In the years you and I have been having these discussions I try my best to factually and calmly explain why are you wrong. I don't hate you, but I do hate how wrong you are and how stubbornly you hold on to your wrong beliefs.

People die in many different ways and some of us have had the displeasure of seeing it up much closer and much more personally than others. There are things that claim many more lives than Covid and things that claim many less. Sometimes it’s unfair and tragic and sometimes it’s because someone did something dumb.
I really, really just don’t see how Covid became people’s hill to die on in terms of shaming another side. Throw it in the lineup of all deaths and there just isn’t a group of people you can blame in any more rational way than any other type of death.

Unless you wanna get into the lab leak stuff, then there certainly may be specific individuals you can blame and it isn’t your neighbor for not wearing a mask.

"There are things that claim more lives than covid"?..well, no shit, but that's not at all what this thread is about, is it? No, we're talking about covid, period.

And the reason why some people started "shaming another side" is because of people who think like you and your ilk, were instrumental in causing covid to last longer than it should/could have.

And you're right, a lot of people who unfortunately, "did something dumb" and many of them because of their maniacal denial, refused to take proper safeguards ...and died.

Interesting for you to be the one trying to enforce this rule. I had to go back 5 consecutive posts of yours to find one that was even vaguely on topic. They are all your usual low brow insults having absolutely zero to do with the thread topic. Seriously, go back and look.

    Zero self awareness.

Smallpox claimed more victims than Covid. Fortunately a very effective vaccine made smallpox a thing of the past.

    We hope.

They had to change the definition to cram the Covid one through.

My family has been covid free except for my son who got it at work and was fortunately vaxxed so he got through it ok. My two grown granddaughters in California got it in the first wave and had a rough time with it.. one still has respiratory problems from it. The whole world understood the danger of this virus and the countries the most successful in limiting it were highly vaccinated and not afraid to wear a mask. You've been making it an American political issue when it's actually been a world health issue all along. Lots of people avoided covid after practicing responsible safety measures. From what I see it's the unvaxxed that get outraged about seeing someone in a mask way more than people masked getting outraged over non masked people. The overwhelming majority of deaths were unvaxxed stubborn people but hey...I'm glad you're ok. I disagree with how your response to it but that's just me thinking out loud...you can do what you like in your own circle of circulation. History will not be kind to your approach to the global pandemic. Sorry to burst your bubble. I know a ton of people and have many in laws in Taiwan and yep.....none of them got covid and all are vaxxed...I'm sure Wyoming seems like the world at large but it's really not...Bill Maher and Joe Rogan are not great role models for pandemic advice either

Immunity and protection are the same thing.

I think people were misinterpreting immunity to mean 100% protected. But that's not actually what it means.

So that's why the definition was updated to convey a more accurate message.

    im·mu·ni·ty
    /iˈmyo͞onədē/
    noun
    1. the state or quality of being resistant to a particular infectious disease or pathogen.
"immunity to typhoid seems to have increased spontaneously"

    2. protection or exemption from something, especially an obligation or penalty.
"the rebels were given immunity from prosecution"
