    1. It is from a lab. It originated in the city with the lab that studies coronaviruses exclusively. Lets just be adults and accept this one.

    2. The flu has killed many many times more people, so what is your mertic for “worse”?

    3. If it was released from a lab and killed a bunch of people, it’s a bio weapon. Cut and dry.

    4. Masks don’t do jack shit. They just look stupid and really are only useful for profiling purposes.

    5. ivermectin is indeed used and prescribed by practicing physicians to treat covid. Another easy one. Calling it horse dewormer is just a lazy smear. It does work for that too though, it’s actually a very effective medicine in many applications.

The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for use in preventing or treating COVID-19 in humans or animals. The FDA has determined that currently available clinical trial data do not demonstrate that ivermectin is effective against COVID 19 in humans

    No, this is.
Science involves asking questions, seeking answers and being willing to examine things irregardless if a newsperson told you to. Boiling down to “anti” or “pro” monikers is really more akin to religious dogma than anything. It’s definitely not in the spirit of science.

    1. It could have been either and we'll probably never know the answer with 100% certainty. Many "adult" scientists still say that the natural jump from animal to humans is the more likely theory. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-57268111

    2. The flu is multiple diseases and has had a few hundred years to rack up deaths. Covid is still more dangerous than flu, but the gap is narrowing now that so much immunity has been developed in the general populace through infection and those "worthless" vaccines. https://www.latimes.com/science/story/2024-05-15/covid-19-remains-deadlier-than-the-flu

    3. You seem to not understand the underpinnings of logic very well. If it was released from a lab, all that we can directly infer is that the virus was being studied in a lab setting. Could it have been being studied for purposes of evaluating its possible use as a bio weapon, whether for developing such a weapon or considering how to combat it, sure. It would be pretty stupid not to constantly be evaluating such things.

    4. This one is the dumbest thing I see spread on the web. Usually the "evidence" is how small viruses are relative to the gaps in mask fabric. This ignores the fact that most viruses emitted from an infected person are attached to spit or snot globules, which are easily blocked by a mask. I'll go with medical advice over conspiracy theorist advice. My recent bout of Covid included a trip to urgent care. The doctor pointed to masks as the most effective way of preventing spread. He said if both the infected person and other people in the household wear masks, the risk of spread is near zero.

    5. Again, I'll go with medical science vs. Dr. Jonnyboy opinion. https://www.phc.ox.ac.uk/news/new-s...cks-meaningful-benefits-in-covid-19-treatment

Who cares? Doctors prescribe it for covid because they feel it works. The FDA is influenced by lobbyists, big pharma and big ag. They change the food pyramid every 5 years to stuff whatever byproduct the ag or chemical companies have a surplus of into your hot pockets. Look around next time you’re in public at all the sick, unhealthy and over medicated people walking around and ask yourself if an entity called the “food and drug” administration has your best interests in mind.

I love it when actual scientists claim there are more than two genders…

This isn't a question of science. Gender is a socially constructed concept.

The problem that you seem to have with scientists is that you don't know what you're talking about, but they do.

But it seems very clear that there is definitely more than one single gender.

So you are arguing for more medication based on feelings rather than data and evidence.

    I see...

I obviously meant two, but i digress. Any scientist claiming otherwise isn’t a scientist. No, gender is not a “social construct”. It’s the most simple biological construct and its very black and white. Claiming otherwise is mental illness.

This is a one time, limited sample size about the covid vacine. But, under tight controlled observation conditions, by several doctors. I would not consider it a scientific study.

The navy seals have a very controlled set of activities a class member must pass to become a seal. Every class is treated the same. The navy has a long track record of results. How many pass, and how far each member gets before dropping out. They know how far they can push someone, to find the best.

One class stood out. Within the first 7 days, 100 had dropped out, due to fatigue. This drop out rate was many times higher than the average.

Several professionals were called in to find out why so many dropped out so quickly. The only condition that had changed. This class was the first to recently receive the covid vacine.

Their theory. While it is known that covid causes fatigue. They believe people become fatigued shortly after receiving the vacine.

Later classes did not start untill a waiting period after receiving the shot. The drop out rates returned to normal.

The Basic Underwater Demolition/Seal (BUD/S) course for Navy SEALs has a dropout rate of 70–85% per class. The course is considered one of the most difficult training programs in the US military and lasts about a year. Candidates undergo a grueling program that includes: Limited sleep, Cold water, Constant physical exercise, Combat training, and Five-and-a-half days of training with fewer than four hours of sleep.
